Hiya. First off, just let me warn you that this is not such a great idea, as you may loose the weight, but will feel exhausted and your skin will probably look like crap. Is it not better to stay as you are, and perhaps start a 1 week detox plan,(google it for some great sites and plans to try) along with regular sessions at the gym.
You may not loose a stone, but your skin will be glowing and you will feel really healthy and confident!
However.... IF, and that's a big if. You simply MUST loose weight, and are willing to feel lethargic and look unhealthy and suffer terrible hunger pains and mood swings... :-(
Then allow me to reccomend the following, which me and a group of my mates did for one week prior to an upcoming wedding for which we were bridesmaids (I lost over a stone)
Every morning, have a glass of hot water with lemon juice. This will help rid your body of toxins.
For lunch, have a grapefruit and a slice of bread (ONE slice, NO butter) Grapefruit has been shown to speed up metabolism and help shift calories faster.
For dinner, Have a breast of chicken or salmon (no red meat) with some green salad.
You will find that you have far less energy than usual, but if you are serious about it, then you need to ignore your tiredness and exercise as much as possible.
That's it. No snacks, no cheating. It WILL work.
Remember, NOOOO alcohol, and for drinks, only have pomegranate juice, water or grapefruit juice, all of which can help aid weight loss.
This is definately NOT something that should be done for over a week, and you WILL put weight back on faster when the weeks over. But if this IS only for a week, I shouldn't be too worried about any long term health problems. People who say you should, are a little ignorant, when you consider all the people out there who go days on end with nothing but stagnant water.
Well. Good luck! and don't listen to people who tell you to eat nothing, this is a sure fire way to fail, and end up gorging yourself stupid after a couple of days! X

You have to burn 3500 calories to loose 1 pound of fat. There are 14 pounds in a stone so that works out as a 49,000 calorie deficit for a week or 7000 per day.
It would be almost impossible to loose that much weight in so little time and even if you could do it you would seriously damage your body.
You should be aiming to loose no more than 1 or 2 pounds a week by eating healthily and doing plenty of exercise.

You are probably doomed to failure or rapid bounce back of your weight, judging by the tone of your question. Around 20% of ALL 'Answers' questions on health are by people forlornly hoping to loose weight!
We are what we eat, but we are at least as much what we don't do. Calorie intakes in 1900 and 1950 were higher than they are now, we just don't use them up!
Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg.
Take a healthy amount of exercise 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise per day 4-5 days a week. I hate to think what percentage of the UK population does that 2%? 5%?
I have seen hundreds of questions with this same pattern :- I am fat, tell me where on line I can get this super diet or herbal/dangerous/illegal drug that I hear will fix it for me in 10 minutes without the need for me to get off the couch!
No fixes pal , less in more out,and slow but sure wins the race, its the only way.

Hi there,
I have currently been on the weight watchers diet for 4 weeks and in total i have lost 1st 3lbs so far. I lost 7lbs in my first week but this has gone down to 4lb in my second week and 3lbs for the past 2 weeks. I have also been going to the gym and using a yoga ball at home but the only real way to lose weight safely is to stick to a healthy diet and to exercise. I find that Weight Watchers helps me as I have the other people at the meeting to spur me on. Or why not try and lose some weight with a friend. It may help as you can spur each other on and have a little friendly competition.
Good luck!!

Its physically impossible even if u were to starve and exercise all day you wouldn't lose a stone in that time i know it sucks but the only way is to go on a healthy diet if you want to lose weight quick the best would be a crash diet like the lemonade diet but u will gain the weight back and some after a while if you want to keep it off a calorie controlled diet with exercise is your best bet

Really hard????? I would say it was totally impossible to lose 2 stone in a week!!!! If your really serious about losing weight then you have to totally put your mind to it!! When I was overweight I went on the Atkins Diet....I lost, almost a stone in the first week, but you've got to be really strict and stay on the diet...if you cheat you just put on more weight!! Have a look at the website....it's quite an easy one but you really have to stick to it....and you don't have to starve either!! Good luck!!...and stay realistic!
