girl, don't do it!!! wait ATLEAST 2 weeks after to dye your hair, but even then you gotta be really careful because your hair is in a fragile state. it's really not good to mix relaxer with hair dye. it's like playing russian roulette if you don't know how to properly take care of your hair. if you just have to bleach your locks, make sure you gete a really good deep conditioner. something with avacado oil or something.
it might be good before (or after) you dye your hair to get this wonderful product called apHrogee breakage formula. it's great for relaxed and colored hair. it may stink and get really hard on your head, but damnit if it isn't the sh!t
good luck!

I was a hair model in the 70's and 80's. Usually I had colour cut and perm. Usually this was a 2 or 3 visit routine done by professionals. I would get the perm one week before the show.
I would return a week later for the show itself during which I was coloured some amazing shades of red and blonde. Then would come the cut. I am naturally a brunette. I am thinking no matter the improvement in product, this would still be murder for your hair and you would end up with frizzy straw!
Hilarious when I think now I wear the Muslim scarf and no one ever sees the crown of glory now grey and not nearly so abundant!

Well constant treatment to your hair stresses it out a lot. Your hair doesnt actually FALL out...it breaks off because it is dry and brittle. You might want to take the time to use either a hot oil treatment or some super conditioning formula to replenish the nutrients you stripped from your hair when you permed it. Do this on or around the bleaching and everything should be A-ok.

Do do it. I actually would recommend that you don't bleach it at all. Bleaching is very harsh on the hair it will make it very dry. If you want to add a tint of color you can put a rinse in the same day you do the relaxer. I like Clairol's Beautiful Collection or they're Jazzing line.
If you want to lighten you hair why don't you get put some highlights; African Prides Hilites works well.

Its really bad to bleach your hair in general~but yes, your hair is extremely sensitive, and the chemicals used for a perm are very strong. Add bleach to the mix and you have a recipe for disaster. Just wait a bit and be sure to condition regularly, then have a profesisonal do it.

Your hair would turn to mush. The two chemical would react in a way that would cause your hair to sustain severe damage and most like fall out or become stringy. If you get a chance go to your local library and look for a cosmetology book and it will explain in more detail why you cannot mix the two chemcals.

From your avatar I assume you are black and you probably mean after a relaxer not a perm. You must wait at least 2 weeks because both are chemical processes. You can use henna to lighten it the same day I believe or get a cellophane wrap.

Yes it is very bad to do that.....the perm has already stripped your hair making it weak.....adding bleach to that would be a definite disaster......as the bleach will further strip your hair of whatever is left....causing it to fall out

Judging by your avatar I'll say your Black/brown so no, you should pick only one. If you say but I have to have both make sure you wait 2weeks between both services and have a professional do it.
I have bealched and relaxed my hair in the past and it evntually led to my hair being really dry (not to mention a hairdresser almost bleached it out my head) and breaking severly so I have to give up relaxing.

your hair won't fall out..but it MIGHT break off. Your best bet if you HAVE to have it done it to get a GOOD PROFESSIONAL to do it. I wouldn't even attempt it yourself, you'll only be sorry. It also depends on the type of perm you used, brand, alkaline, acid, buffered acid.etc.... TRESSA makes a perm that you can color and or highlight with!
