It will be an evening wedding, so I am going for the simple yet elegant look. I've tried on both and look great in both. I am a short, size 6-8, and love the way both dresses flatter my figure.

I think that the Michelle style will bring more attention to your face because the beading detail is on your chest area. The most important thing is YOU not the dress :) You always want to make sure that you wear the dress, and that the dress doesn't wear you.
While the Pia gown is very pretty, the detailing on the bottom of it it a little distracting for a shorter person. I think the Michelle gown fits your simple and elegant theme and the gathering at the mid section os GORGEOUS.
That's just my opinion, though. If you find that you're really in love with the Pia style, then go for it.

I absolutely love the Maggie Sottero Pia! It is gorgeous. Either dress would be flattering, elegant, and beautiful though. If I was your mother, I would persuade you to do the Pia.

I like the Michelle. It has that extra look of class and sophistication. The Pia is nice, but the Michelle has just a bit more "wow" to it. The color is also very rich and elegant.

I love the Maggie Sottero Pia, I actually had a dress by her and I loved it. Sometimes I wish I could wear it again.

Definetely go for the PIA. I love Maggie Sottero. I wish I would have a wedding every saturday so that I would wear each and every one of her gorgeous dresses.

The first link for sure. However, maybe try on some dresses that are not strapless - that's a fad quickly going by the wayside (thank goodness). Since you are short, something with sleeves, straps or a halter will be more flattering.
