I'm taking my boyfriend to Brighton for our anniversary and would like to go to a nice restaurant with good food and service. It needs to be vegetarian-friendly (but not necessarily vegetarian), not overly expensive or poncy, and fairly casual (ie jeans) but with a nice, intimate atmosphere.

Terre a terre!

It's seriously good...quite expensive though but definitely worth it. it is vegetarian and the nicest restaurant that I've ever been to. You'll need to book though cos it's very popular.

Oh yes-it is casual and hip.

I think the Coriander is a great restaurant, not cheap but you pay for what you get. Or the Bali Brasserie, which I find is more reasonable but has a much greater atmosphere.
