through Jesus Christ, once you confess your sin and put your trust in Him--and repent (turn away from sin and follow Him) That you are sealed with the Holy Spirit? When someone believes with all their heart, they are saved--after they confess their sins, they are justified by the blood of Christ. (Romans)
But even more incredible, is that God seals us with His holy spirit, so he lives in us! It is his "wonder working power!" as the song goes~
And He says to us who are saved: 2 Corinthians 1:21-22-- 21Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Praise God for His Holy Spirit!!

Oops I mean with your heart you believe and are justified and with your mouth you confess and are saved....(I think I said that backwards!) The verses in Romans I was speaking about.

Brown some of those verses you gave are out of context, I am sorry to say- the endured till the end will be saved is referring to the great tribulation--and when someone is saved, they are always saved, or else you would be going against scripture. If they do not live a christian life or think because they prayed they are saved, but never grow spiritually, they were not saved to begin with. There is false conversion- look at the parable of the sower in Luke.

This is the type of Christianity that people should see. Most of the time, people see Christians berating people for their beliefs, judging, and condemning people in the name of God when it is not their place.

This type of positive energy is how you convert people. I'm not certain about my faith, but I'm damn sure that I won't follow a religion that is pushed on me by some stranger, or family member for that matter.

In the Bible, Christ teaches joy, tolerance, peace, love, and charity to all, not just other believers. I think most people have lost sight of those teachings and forgotten that being a Christian means striving to be Christ-like. YOU are a model Christian, as far as I can tell. If more Christians were like you, I might have kept my faith.

Kudos to you, honey.

Once saved is "not" saved forever.

Luke 9:62
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Luke 9:61-62 (in Context) Luke 9

Luke 3:9
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Luke 3:8-10 (in Context)

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

No disrespect, but what are we saved from? and does being saved today guarantees U spot in the kingdom of god? And after we are sealed can we do whatever comes to our mind. It sounds good but those that endure until the end the same shall be saved!...Continue the race and don't stop until the end

What is truly incredible is not that some con artist from Damascus cooked all this up, but that 2000 years later when we know all this pre-bronze age nonsense is nonsense, we can still find gullible, confused, emotionally needy and weak-minded people willing to throw money into a collection plate to have absolutely unsupported crap like this peddled to them.

Isn't it wonderful? Because without religion these people would have to find employment for which they are morally and ethically qualified and there just aren't enough elevator operator jobs to go around. I'm not sure Pastor Ted could fund his gay hooker and meth habit on that kind of money.

"Once saved, always saved!".....sounds good, but not true.

Jesus said: "Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will seek to get in but will not be able."—Luke 13:23, 24 This means hard work. It's a continuous process, not a one time thing.

Many people have been told that "believing on Jesus" is a single act and that our faith does not have to be strong enough to prompt obedience. But the Bible disagrees. Jesus did not say that people who begin the Christian course are saved. Instead, he said: "He that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved." (Matthew 10:22)

The Bible says: "A man is declared righteous by faith apart from works of law." It also says: "A man is to be declared righteous by works, and not by faith alone." Which is right? Are we declared righteous by faith or by works?—Romans 3:28; James 2:24.

The harmonious answer from the Bible is that both are correct.
