these are foster farm, frozen (not precooked) chicken breasts that come in a bag. i am boiling it to put it in a cold salad.

Can you nuke it for a couple minutes to defrost it? Otherwise just toss it in boiling water for about 12-14 minutes.

Oh, saute it or put it in the oven or SOMETHING. PLEEEEZE don't boil it. If you insist on boiling it, just get some cardboard from an old box - it'll be the same.
Let it defrost - be careful if you nuke it, 'cause you can cook it and really trash it - and just bake, broil, grill, or saute it.

Please don't boil chicken! Brown it with a little olive oil at the very least. Cook till juices run clear when pierced with a fork.
