Context?

'Transfer agent' could be 'agent de transit', but without knowing what kind of mail they're transferring (i.e. email or snail mail?) it's hard to give you a definitive answer.

Similarly, what kind of 'assignment' are you talking about? Is it a job, or the act of allocating something?

It's pretty much impossible to give you a correct answer without knowing in what context you want to use the terms.

By the way, 'couriel' (email) should be spelled 'courriel'.

Mail Transfer Agent would be Agent de transfer de couriel.
Couriel is French for e-mail.

Notify on assignment would be Notifiez dès la tache completée.

notify on assignment could be, if you're notifying someone of an assignment they will have to do:
notifier de la tâche à faire/exécuter

it's kinda hard to translate without context though
