Your right to speak your mind is still Free.

Oh yea....by statistics, Military members who retire from service average roughly 67,000 a year starting and with benifits.

Don't worry, you'll get a job someday.

Glad to piss you off...

Carry on

Holes in your "facts"

"Fact: most combat veterans only spent time in a combat theater not in actual combat."

Talk to any active duty Soldier and ask how many time they received incoming, how many times they were shot at, how many times they were hit by IED's. You'll find that it is more than what you are presuming.

"Fact: for the majority of those who were in military occupations the duty required less strenuous and far less mental ability's than the same occupation outside of it would of entailed."

This is just stupid. As Combat Service and Support I work on average 12 hours daily. I manage an average of 12 Soldiers if i am not in a Platoon Sergeant Position and the work NEVER stops. This does not include Field time, hardships, deployments, corrective action, non-judicial supervision, inspections, welfare checks, etc. So don't tell me or any other Soldier the job we do is easy.

"The rewards for almost all of the military, benefits and monetary, have been higher than most occupations requiring same skill levels than achieved outside in civilian spheres."

Right. How many civilian jobs have 24 hour duty? Field exercises? Deployments? Hardship tours? I would like to see a full service gas station attendant (Fueler's civ counter) work from 0500 to 1900.

"Benefits after leaving service includes pensions, schooling, medical for self, spouse and kids, housing loans and ability to still use some military infrastructures."

Everything here is correct. Except Medical. We have to pay for it when we leave.

As for your disgruntled attitude, who cares. I do my job just like you do yours. The difference is mine is longer hours, more work and a little more dangerous.

You can say what you want about your family serving, but that wasnt you. So basically, you still have no idea.

Being military does not give any Soldier the "Right" to anything. You are correct here. It only puts everyone elses "Rights" into their hands. So enjoy them.

The Constitution is in perfect working order. I'm sorry if you feel that your "Rights" were violated. I feel that way every day the Media reports crap and presumption on Iraq.

Good luck to you though....hope your bitterness lightens up a bit.

You know what's sad? All of the men and women that lay thier lives on the line so that your sorry butt has the right to say such slanderous things. I guess you must not know any service members or veterans. They are a special breed that go out and do things that I would never have the nerve to do. To protect me, and my family, and my friends & my country. They don't get enough credit as it is. They have earned the right to "drag their medals and stripes around", and then some.

Sounds like another, "proud to be an American" and get all of the Free stuff handed to them, but wants other people to do the sacrificing, so they don't have to.
Do you have any medals and stripes? If you do, and are not proud of them, then don't show them. If you don't, you'll always have the opportunity like all of the other people in the military to get them. Just sign on the dotted line.
By the way, what exactly is a "real" job? One that you can just quit when the going gets tough? One that your father gets you because of who they know or play golf with? Your no better or worse than anyone else. Keep that in mind...

Sorry to hear about your situation.... but some of us are more than proud to serve and have served out of a high calling than a paycheck. I have had three job offers over the years that pay alot better than the Army every could. And yes, I have a college degree in Emergency Management and one in business management. And no, the Army didn't pay for my education. And coupled with the fact that I am a seven time combat veteran and combat wounded.... I do believe that gives me the right to "drag my medals around". I earned that right by paying for your freedom of speech.

But please have a great Airborne Day!!

Must be hard not being able to make a complete sentence properly. Must be harder to be that pathetic and not be able to get into military too. You know those who have issues with certain clubs only have those issues because they are inadequate and could not get into the club. Kind of like those kids in high school that wanted to sit at the "cool" kids table, but they were not cool enough. Its all good though My husband and I have enough brains and pride to make up for your lacking it.

You're most certainly entitled to your opinion...that's one of the rights and freedoms that our men and women in uniform protect for you. So while they're out there risking their lives, you go right on ahead and shoot your mouth off and talk bad about the very ones who give you the right to act like a total moron.

And when you're done, you can take that opinion, fold it in half, and shove it sideways up your anal canal, you useless piece of inconsiderate lowlife trash.

I love the members of the armed forces. And I love the veterans. If you are a veteran, then I thank you for your service.

You are entitled to your opinion but I think such statements dishonor you.

Some do, some don't, and the ones who act in either way only a shrink can tell.
Serving country?
Serving oneself?
Fact: most reitred veterans are not combat veterans.
Fact: most retired veterans never spent more than two years out of US territorys.
Fact: most combat veterans only spent time in a combat theater not in actual combat.
Fact: for the majority of those who were in militry occupations the duty required less stenuous and far less mental abilitys than the same occupaiton outside of it would of entailed.
The rewards for almost all of the military, benfits and monetary, have been higher than most occupations requiring same skill levels than achieved outside in civilian spheres.
Benefits after leaving service includes pensions, schooling, medical for self, spouce and kids, housing loans and ability to still use some military infrastructures.
I do not say take away those benfits but in majority of those cases they far exceed what americans who served their country in other ways are entitled too and far greater than most working family men will ever see in their whole working lifetimes.
Don't want to hear, never in service or other BS, hell half my relatives are retired vets; combat vets, been in and around it all my life and listened to storys of retired and active and they in the main are the most self centered SOBs and whiningest group of peopel you will find of any retired groupings.
All served their country but do not give me this damn BS of GOD Country and Flag and your rank and medals makes you any damn one whit better than many a man and woman who put up with the daily grind and never even in their worst or best economic situations ever expected anyone to kiss their a@@'s for working hard at life.
They just do thier job trying to help themselves to the promise this nation held out to them and love it sorry they may be too busy to ooo and awe over your exploits and in some cases lack of, come out and Kiss your A@@'s to show it..

Just leave it behind when you move to france. Thats a nice place for you to live. Just move right in and continue to act better than everyone else. The only thing you need to learn is "I surrender!"
