Hi,
I am a detox specialist and specialize in helping rid themselves of their health problems via a natural detox method that is gentle enough to be used by children and pregnant women and yet fastly effective.
From my experience from a holistic point of view (which may be quite diff from wat medical doctors tell you), what your father is suffering from is due to a few factors:
- lifestyle and diet tat cause a lack of oxygen to the brain
- and slowing down and degeneration of your brain cells.
Since what the medical doctors have asked you to do is not helping much, would you like to give yourself and your dad a chance and follow a more holistic advice?
I suggest a basic detox that can help to rejuevenate the brain cells and all other body cells so that they are functioning properly and that your body is able again to bring oxygen to your brain.
I have had old folks with serious dementia and don't remember his family at for a long time all start to remember his family member's faces again and slowly get better from the dementia after the detox.
And the detox is simple. All you need to do is three things.
Number one, follow the detox programme which requires you to change your diet a little bit. Eg, take more vege and less meat and seafoods.
Number two, use 1 minute a day to take some natural health foods that I take to enhance the speed and the effect of the detox.
Number three, drink lots of water to flush the toxins out..
And that's it.
The rest is up to you.
So what do you think? ;)
If you are keen to find out more about my detox programme, you can email me at verityy@yahoo.com.
Meanwhile, I suggest that you cut out stuff like fried foods, unpurified water, processed foods, meats and seafoods from his diet. That will certainly help.

I'm sorry to hear about your father's diagnosis. Unfortunately there is no cure for Lewy Body Dementia.
Your father's doctor (or a neurologist) can prescribe medication to help treat and slow down the progression of LBD. Different people respond to different medicines, so there will probably be a time of trying out different ones to see what works.
Best wishes and good luck to you all! Below is a website that can give you more information.

Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) is a leading cause of degenerative dementia in elderly adults. This condition is linked to abnormal protein structures in certain areas of the brain. The structures and symptoms of DLB are associated with Alzheimer's disease, but it is uncertain whether DLB is a sub-type of Alzheimer's or separate disease. There is no cure for DLB or Alzheimer's.
Please see the web pages for more details on Lewy body dementia.

My grandmother had Dimentia but I don't know if there was any other name attached to it so the only thing I can say is that it's probably the start of Alzheimer's.... That's what it turned out to be with my grandmother...
I dont' know what else to say, I'm sorry.... If it's Alzheimer's, things will get very difficult for you. My mother has been dealing with her mother for about 6 years I guess and it's caused her a lot of heartache and tears....
I would suggest you talk to your doctor or his about this and see what he/she has to say.
