Kennedy wouldn't know the "working class" if they came up and kicked him in the @SS!!!
He has NEVER had to WORK a day in his life!!
He has NEVER lived paycheck to paycheck, and wondered how he was going to pay all his bills and STILL have enough left over to feed his kids!!!
He has NEVER "done without" a day in his life!!!
He is nothing but a fat, DISGUSTING, murdering PIG!!!!!!!

It is a perfect question, and the answer is that no politician can claim to be for the working man and try and enable illegal immigrants. The two concepts cannot coexist. Ted Kennedy is for illegal immigrants for one reason, and one reason only, votes for the democrat party. What I find most humorous is that it could work,I have neighbors who are illegals who think that those trying to get them amnesty are great. What I find most amusing is that these same people have no idea what democrats stand for. They are very religious people who if they were told the truth in the media given to them would be appalled at almost every aspect of the democrat platform. I am doing my best to educate them on that count, since all of my calls to immigration have been ignored. If they're going to be here I guess all I can do is try to expose them to the truth.

I don't know much about Ted other than his old auto accident so I want say much about him. Where amnesty is concerned I feel that the people who push for it are doing it out of self interest and not out of concern for the US. Reagan had an amnesty program and if you look at the numbers (increase) of illegals after he granted amnesty you will see that they started coming over at a faster rate after he granted amnesty. He did attempt to put laws in place to prevent that from happening but those laws are not enforced so they don't work. The end result was the appearance that people who violated our immigration laws would be rewarded with the right to stay.

Great question since illegal immigration is hitting the heart of the "working man". Way too many in power are so out of touch of the "working man"'s life it's not funny. Most would be unemployable down in the trenches. Can you see Kennedy trying to pass an alcohol and drug test to work in a factory? Or flip burgers? LOL I wonder how many would be able to pass a random test immediately after voting to see whether or not they were under the influence? Wonder how many would pass a background check? I mean they randomly pull employees off the floor to do a drug and alcohol test when there's no indication for it. They just seem to be exempt from the same screenings the rest have to do. I mean don't we have a supreme court judge who was charged with sexual harassment? Not convicted...but charged. They have changed alot of the applications to include just being charged with a crime....including misdemeanors....not just felony convictions. They get to rake in the dough with some pretty shakey records while others are under a microscope for a low wage job.

Ted Kennedy and most other politicians are only interested in two things: Keeping their job and doing one great thing that they will be remembered for forever. Most of the fail at both, but sometimes politicians do get libraries named after them. Almost all of them lose their job at one point or another.

Just a lie from a wishful supporter of the fat drunk murder. Don't take things to seriously, this is only Yahoo Answers after all!
Of course Kennedy is not "for the working class", he likely sees us as a necessary evil that he would do away with as fast as possible if there were just someone who would do our work for less money and treat him with the respect he deserves as one of a royal family. I wonder how many illegals he has working for him. And how many of them he has killed in drunken rages.

If you are actually asking because you want to know, here is how amnesty could help the working man. Once the illegal aliens have legal status, they can demand better wages and conditions, basically making them equal to any US citizen. The companies then have no reason to prefer immigrants.. The working then man has more options of jobs were he can make a reasonable living.

The illegals work too, many of them.
Maybe that is who they are referring to.
Grdnovitz, not in connection with a guest worker program and discretionary immigration enforcement, wages won't raise. They will lower to at least India's level.

Its all about votes. Any one that is in any way for amnesty, is not for America.
