why is he avoiding me?

Question

Started talking to an old friend in high school. He instantly told me that I was the love of his life and that we should have gotten married, that I always turned him on the most, and I was so beautiful. Then we exchange photos and he gets even more intense says how beautiful I am and how he missed out and that he loves who am i now and how i think. Then after I tell him how i feel for him, he completely changes his story and says he only thinks of me as a friend because of his circumstances. He is divorced and living with a woman who he says he is not the love of his life but they have "mutual trust and understanding" according to him. We live in different countries so that may be a problem in his mind. But I have said I would live anywhere. Now, I am in his country and emailed him saying "let's meet for drinks" and he reads my emails 10 times before replying with" I am busy" I am sick I am travelling. Why is he avoiding me?

Because he was flattering you and enjoying the fantasy he never really wanted a relationship. He was playing a game with you the minute you got serious he tried to back off. However, you became more aggressive and now he is feeling like a cornered animal and you have become the stalker. Back off he is just not interested.

He just wanted to have sex or just flirt with you..

You fell for him and told him how you felt about him..

It scared him off coz he's never been serious at the first place.

He's avoiding you now and he doesn't want to be with you.

And he might already had a girlfriend/ wife, that's why he's avoiding you.

Leave him alone. He's not worth it. He's just a jerk.
