..with you, after telling you he would not want to be with her if he could be with you, and then changed his mind conveniently?

I do not know her. I have been friends with him for four years and he has been a great friend. I understood his relationship to be not serious as he kept pointing out why the relationship was no good with her. Never done anything like this before for those of you who are judging, yet my ex-husband is still married to the 'friend' he left me for 8 years ago, maybe I thought it was my turn to have found that special person. I genuinely thought he felt more for me and I trusted him. Naive, yes.

I guess revenge was part of my reason but it would only hurt her. But should she not know he is a liar? Thank you for your replies, it has helped.

Difficult particularly whn you do not know her. If you feel it is right to tell her then it is right....as in you have thought it through and not just being impulsive. If it were me I think I would want to know.

No I dont think telling is the right thing to do. Ive been in this same boat twice and the first time i told what was going on i lost them both as friends they had massive rows and then got back together. The second time i found out.... (same couple) i kept my mouth shut but was there for him when the truth came out and explained that yes i knew but from experience what people dont know cant hurt them and very often people are not willing to accept the obvious...
he thanked me a lot more in the end!!!

All I can say is you will be the BAD guy! It happens like that all the time and it gets turned around and they stay together and you are pushed out! Stay out! Some people have to learn things on their own. I know how hard it is but I just went through this because my sister in law is cheating on my bro and I got in the middle and now my brother and I don't speak and we used to be sooooo close...FYI...he is still with the cheating tramp!

Oh, so the only reason you feel she needs to know is that you didn't get your way with him?

Ugh, this is a hard question, because I do think she deserves to know that two people she trusts are actually skanky liars, but at the same time, I'd like to have you stew in your own skanky, jealous, "woman scorned" juices for as long as possible.

Yes. He lied to you and is probably lying to others as well. Be open and honest with your friend. If you value your friendship then let your friend know that. If you are simply after revenge, then give yourself a cooling off period before you go talk to your friend. Your intent should be to protect your friend, not get back at the guy.

Best of luck!

no neither of you should say anything, it will destroy their feelings and you will feel guilty. you should get him to brake up with her for an unrelated reason first, then keep it quiete for a couple of months, this should not arouse suspision and keep feelings as aintact as they can be, although dont expect to keep the freindship.

to be fair it was a silly idea to get in this situation in the first place, the best thing to do would jusy be to stop it now!

How much do you love her?

Be honest with her an let the chips fall where they may.
Good luck.

Yeah I would... then both of you can leave him alone. Obv. he is playing you both and wants to be greedy... Pray before you do so to get guidance from God and hopefully your friendship will work out. If it doesnt, then you know that she was only in your life for a season and that you are not to do that anymore. Life is a learning exp. and we all make mistakes.

Good luck and God Bless...

Let's face it, you fell for one of the oldest lines in the book and now you want to get back at him. Leave it alone and don't destroy the poor girl, but learn your lesson and stop falling for crappy lines.
