Depends on why he was locked up, but that is a decision you must evaluate and decide for yourself. Here is an idea: Take a piece of paper and write down ten reasons why you should wait and keep him, then write ten reasons why you should forget about him and move on. Then pick out the best five of each and think about them very hard (maybe even write a paragraph about each one). That has helped many people with relationships. GOOD LUCK!

Well two months isn't a long time to wait for someone while they are in jail, you barely know this guy.
But if you feel strong about it, than you should wait.
But, would he wait for you if it was the other way around, and when I say wait, I mean, with loyalty, devotion, honesty, and most of all faithfulness?
Think really hard about it, because guys don't start really getting feelings for a women close to a year of being with them, most guys build a high wall around the heart.
So do what's best for you, Good Luck.

So really you've only been goin out for two weeks.
He sounds like a top guy and worth waiting for..derrr
How 'bout seeing somebody who isn't potential jail bait material, that way you can actually see them when ever you like, rather than on days governed by the correctional facility.

Well why do you want boyfriend who's locked up? Is this the 1st time he's been in jail? Like what kind of future do you see for yourself? you need to aim a little higher in life than you seem to be aiming now. I say dump him and get yourself a boyfriend that is going somewhere in life besides jail.

2-1/2 months doesn't really costitute a solid relationship.
I would be moving on. I don't think it's healthy for someone to date another who first off you don't know well enough to take a valid side on the whole prison thing, and 2nd who's in prison in the first place. I would be moving on.

well my old ladie waited ten years for me to get out i think you can wait a month i think that the reason some of these other women sre saying dump him is cause it we'll be hard for him to work and have money after a conviction but i found work i got a high school diploma inside and when i got out went to trade schooland i make good money now

If you love him and care for him, hang in there. Being in jail is tough and the people on the inside need as much love and support as they can get...
Write letters, accept all his phone calls, be there for him. Give him spiritual confidence and pray for him and you... You will make it through. A month will be over before you know it...
Good luck and God Bless you and him...

if he's imprissioned for something not that bad, like a non violent drug offense or even wrongly imprissioned i'd say wait it out because an ex-con's life is tough enough without loosing everything. but if he's in jail for a dui, a violent offense, or something really dumb like trying to jump the mayors car in his monster truck. i'd leave him behind. honest to god theivery is a good indicator a guy isn't willing to work for what he has and you shouldn't date him. piracy like kazaa and bit torrent for music cds is nothing though. just use your brain. if he belongs in jail leave him there if he doesn't then be there for him.

well, I don't know what he is in jail for and I don't know how old you are, but you need to dig deep and see if this is the guy that you really want to be with. I don't think someone who is going to be in and out of jail is the best decision.
