Stop feeding him "people food" - give him a day or two with no treats at all. A hungry dog will come around.
People will tell you to add a little people food on top of his dog food to ween him off - don't bother - he'll only eat the people food off the top.
Cold Turkey - and don't give him any!

I can understand what you're going thru. I have a Shih Tzu who only ate people food for years and years. She's 8 now. About 6 months ago she got very sick and we took her to the vet and he said that the years of people food had taken their toll on her. Her digestive system was in a terrible way. We had to have her on medication for a couple of weeks to clear up the infection and the issues with her digestive tract and her stomach. THEN we had to put her on dog food. Talk about a battle of wills! We ended up just giving her a good dry dog food -- no people food or wet dog food at all. We did not try to coax her or to mix wet food in or put anything other than dog food into the bowl (in an attempt to get her to switch). The vet said that any people food at all would send her right back to his office.
I know this may be hard to deal with because Lhasas and Shih Tzus can both be stubborn. But you have to be consistent. Give her nothing but dog food. Choose a "smaller bites" food or a softer dry food. We opted for Pedigree Small Bites.
It took our dog TWO WEEKS before she would eat the dog food! And as I said, it was just a battle of wills. She refused to eat thinking she would get something better. She ate just enough (a few bites at most) of the dog food to keep from starving and then she just wouldn't eat. She just refused - period. It was hard for us to not give her something inbetween. But when she realized nothing "better" was coming -- she eventually changed her mind.
AND now -- she eats just fine! She eats as soon as we place it front of her and she eats it all with no problem. And the best thing is -- she's healthy!
I wish you all the luck! And just stay consistent with the dog food and no people food. Even if it takes a week or two, your dog will come around!

I take dry dog food IAMS and chop into the chopper a little with some beef from McDonalds the double burger for a dollar menu...take two of those chop it up in with the dried dog food and make a brown gravy into it..I usually make the brown gravy enough for 3 days..I have a saint bernard 120 lbs female only 15 months..she loves it..I sometimes go to grocery store and buy the cheap meat on sale and use chicken beef pork.or go to McDonald and buy the cheaper ones..it works believe me..and my vet advised that was fine..just not to give her lots of fat etc..My dog loves the warm gravy..

I have never seen a dog starve himself to death, but if you can't stand the crying, whining and begging that would probably come with going cold turkey, try a little beef broth over his crunchy food. Just make sure that it has no sodium or other additives. Also; check his teeth. He might have some dental problems that are paining him when he trys to eat the crunchies.

Well obviously you are feeding him people food and you should not. Put regular dry dog food in his bowl and let him eat it. Do not feed him people food! He may not eat for a while but he will realize that if he is REALLY hungry, he will eat the dog food.

Maybe mix his food with a human food like Peanut Butter. Gradually decrease the amount you put in his bowl everyday until he is eating it without the PB. if he doesn't eat it with the PB, maybe you should call a dog trainer or your vet, and see what they have to say.

Add a little plain yogurt, Alaskan canned pink salmon or white rice to his food. Is healthy and they really think their getting something! the salmon has omega 3's in it and makes their skin & coat so nice!! I leave the salmon bones it it and drain the can, you can chose to pick out the bones if you wish. My 85 pound beast takes 2-3 TBS of yogurt & salmon on rotation, your is little so try smaller amounts.

what you need to do is figure how much kibble that he should eat then split it in to two feeding and put in down and after about 5 min pick it up and put it down in the evening again for about 5 min and then pick it up again. start again the next day. after about a day and a half he will figure that he had better eat the food in front of him
