You're not being crazy at all. Everyone needs some alone time or you will start to dislike him. Just let him know that by being together all the time might lead to your breakup. Happened to me before cause I never said a word...just let him annoy me more which led to be dumping him. I needed time away but felt by telling him I would hurt him. I ended up hurting us both.

No you're not being crazy. He sounds like he is insecure. This being a forum I can't go into tons of detail, but you need to make him feel wanted and assure him you can do things without him and still care for him. He's afraid you're going to go out and find someone else. Let him know you're happy with him, but you would like to do some things on your own. If he feels secure in the relationship then he won't feel the need to smother you.

He'll back off after a while. Thats a good thing in a way because at least you don't have to worry about him cheating on you. But be careful that he is not over jealous or changes into that kind of person because thats when they'll kill you or thereselves over you. Put your foot down sometimes and tell him that you are going somewhere without him. Just don't do it too often because you might run him off.

Your b.friend sounds like he has a low opinion of himself. Like he isn't' sure that he is good enough for you, or that he doesn't deserve you. Wants to keep an eye on you to make sure that no other guy gets near. He is being possessive and this is not a good thing. It can get worse if he doesn't change his way of thinking. He needs to get a higher opinion of himself first, some self confidence. Then he won't have the need to keep you within an arms reach. Sometimes it isn't possible for them to overcome this fear and it can become a big problem. Know this because it has happened with my son.

i dont think you're crazy but i wouldnt say he is smothering you he probably just loves being with you. You should feel flattered. If you feel a bit trapped, then you could ask him to back off in a nice way, but he may take it the wrong way, so good luck :)

No you are not being crazy. Everyone needs some time to do things on their own. You don'[t want to end up one of those people that can't even talk on the phone with their girlfriends without his permission. Fix this now! Good luck!

No.......not crazy ....he probably is a little insecure of your relationship(fear of losing you).
He maybe unaware that he is smothering you. So tell him........ but be easy but firm in the way you tell him(don't hurt his feelings).
Assuming that he is not psychotic.....Every once in a while(like real soon) .....reassure him that he's the one for you and that he should never have to worry.

Guys are smothering, its a guy thing, if you are young, you need a little space, not for other guys, just to be with girl friends, keep your clothes ON...
