No it isn't that bad. It hurts as much as getting ur ear pierced. You'll live if you can handle your tougue pierced.

Generally speaking, the lip piercing is slightly more painful than the tongue to be pierced and, even though you do not have near the amount of swelling as you did with your tongue, the swelling will last longer. That being said, and this is true of any piercing, don't let less than a second of pain stop you from getting what you want. When done by a good piercer, it's really not that bad.

Don't listen to people that try to dicourage you if you like it then do it. No it does not hurt at all I have two on my lip one on each side i have done them on my own before and i have them professional too well now and none of the times hurt especially if you LOVE needles as much as i do. well anyways i'm pretty sure your tongue would hurt a lot more so i'm pretty sure you can handle it. It's really easy to have if you care for it like you should. Have fun and if you do end up piercing your lip i would really like to see how it turned out. Have fun.

Probably not as bad but its still going to hurt. Piercings are painful, that's just how it is. But how bad it hurts depends on your tolerance to pain and since everyone is different no one can tell you exactly what it will feel like. To me its like a really bad bite to the lip.
Main thing is that you take care of the piercing and you shouldn't have issues.

It isnt that bad. You will just be like "ow my lip" for about a week or so. As for the infected part. Use epson salts to clean it out after meals and use neosporin daily. It's better to get pierced with a ring than a stud since you can thread the neosporin through the hole with the ring. The neosporin will help from it getting crusty too.

I had my tongue pierced, then got my labret. I think the tongue was more dramatising because I was scared, and its thicker to peirce so it takes longer, the lip is very fast and its over before you can say "ow".

Hurts a lot, especially when it get's infected. Unlike your tongue piercing, when you lip goes bad everyone will see it. You'll be lucky to not have permanent scaring. It's a bad idea.

the tongue is a lot worse than the lip, and the recovery for the lip is less irritating as well.
