Okay, afew months back my girlfriends cat died. And even now we are both so stumped as to what had happened. The cat wasn't even a year old yet. When I left, he was fine. And as I was leaving tried to sneak out. I left the door unlocked for 3 hours Then my girlfriend got home and found him laying by the stove. His eyes red, his back broken, leg broken and couldn't move. If someone could help me make sense of this it would be greatly appreciated.

Some sick b@stard beat your girlfriends cat to death. Red eyes is a sign of asphyixiation. Those injuries are indictitive of abuse - not injury or sickness.

Interesting that you "tried to sneak out" and "left the door unlocked" were you worried that your cat had thumbs to turn the latch or were you trying create doubt that an intruder came in and killed the cat and not you?

OK... Let me put you mean people straight. I'm his girlfriend and know he did not kill my cat he loved are dear pigg very much. A week before Pigg wasnt eating and very sick So we took him to the vet almost three hundred dollars later there were still know answers. My fiancee does not have keys to the apartment because i only had one set made at the time of moving in. So he ofcource had no choice but to leave the door unlocked. When i entered my apartment i did so as i do ever day when i notice my fiancee and cat were no where to be found I called out both of their names only to hear a cry coming from the kitchen I went over and saw my pigg (the cat) lieing on the floor suffering from alot of pain in panic i called every vet and hosiptal (animal) that i knew i cut off his collar because i could see he was struggling to breath right when the cab pulled up my poor pigg took one last gasp of air a passed on .I phoned the same vet that we went to in outrage knowing that had just given him a total examination with blood work and all, but still they had no answers.Im not an animal expert but I dont understand how it happend Pigg was obviously very much in trama state as he had left a trail of poop to where he would later would die.
This i can tell you about he's state when i found him
- he had very red eyes
- he was trying to move but he wasnt able too
- he moved around like in a seisure state
- he back looked like it was made of rubber
-he's front left paw was limp
- he cry did not seem as if there was blood in his longs or any thing like that
- his cry was extremly differnt
- there was no blood any where but on a piece of paper on the fridge which looks like it didnt come from pigg because there were no laserartion or blood coming from my pigg.

I was going to get an otopsy done but could not afford it and i thought he had been though enough. That day changed me and my fiancees life he was like our son we gave him as much love as a human gets and more. For somone to think Brad did it, is absolutley insane, for one you dont know him and for another thing If you could only see the way pigg and him were together you would know that that was his son hes baby they loved eachother very much. On another note since this recall took place i was woundering if any of these sign meet the kidney failure that it is said to cause. Id appreciate any help but please Do Not answer if you are going to excuse my fiancee of a haness crime
thank you Jessica

He probably opened the door because my cat knows how to do that and got hurt outside. He then limped back to your house and mad it to the stove when your girlfriend came home.

That is weird. Very much so. My cat recently died also thanks to Special Kitty from Walshit. My husband works with a guy and his cat got sick and they took him to the vet, and had to pay $200, cat died after eating 8 hours later. Both had re-called cat food.

One of two things might have happened:

1) He was hit by a car and managed to drag himself home and then collapsed

2). A raccoon or opposum got him. You're probably thinking there are none where you live. I live close to downtown Houston, and they are very common. People leave food for pets outside, and here come the raccoons and opposums. Wherever there are garbage cans, you will find them.

Something tells me you're not entirely honest about what happened, because nobody, anywhere, conciously leaves their door unlocked.

You searching for a possible wayto explin it to you GF. You knowdamn well what happned to the cat, don't you?

Somebody beat and strangled your cat... do you have insane neighbors? Or are you trying to cover up what you did?
