My lifelong goal has been to achieve 10% of the OT and of the NT. Sort of a personal "spiritual tithe".
There are 22, 485 OT verses and 7, 957 NT verses.
I am presently at about the 6% level of my goal.

I have learned from the Gospel of Mathew Mark Luke and John.
I have found the bible offensive.
I can not believe a book written by a King could be accepted as Gods word. Before the time of America and freedom Kings were worshiped like a God.
It doesn't not sit well with me the bible listing blood lines.
People today are quoting the bible in the same sentence as to express evil and blaming their evil thoughts on Bible.
Some examples my brother in law twisted word of the bible to cast judgment on all claiming to be gay.
I explained to him God would not want us to cast judgment using the stoning of the adulteress as proof.
We all know God would not approve of adultery its in the 10 commandments. Yet he did not want us to stone her to death. Just try to avoid temptations of the devil and never fall to temptation again.
My son quotes the bible and then does not treat his mother with respect. I explain that God would not want him to behave this way.
God wants us to help those falling to temptation and guide them to good endeavors. Not stone them to death.

Einstein's strategy was not to memorize what you could look up. I like Einstein. I only have like John 3:16 and the 23rd Psalm and the Lord's Prayer memorized. I think it is more important to understand what it means than to memorize it.

Unknown. Sometimes they just pop into my head. That's the Holy Spirit, not me, per se.
I would say that there are at least 50 "stored" on the "hard drive" of my brain for easy access.

Does it matter if you remember the numbers and the chapters? If not, most of it. If so, none of it.
