I mean as far as anything, potency, side effects, whether the generic brand still promotes weight loss, anything that you can tell me would be appreciated.

There can be differences although not the medicine that is contain in them. The differences can be in the base ingredients used. Some people can report that the generic brand of a medicine doesn't work as well the brand. Of course the major difference is going to be the cost. A quick call to your pharmacist will answer any questions you have.

I asked this question of a Doctor once, and he said that generic brands have a 5% up or down variation in potency; otherwise, they are theoretically the same.
In the case of certain drugs, you might need the potency to be exact and consequently your Doctor would then prescribe a name brand instead of generic to avoid the 5% variation.

This 5% variation obviously becomes more of a factor if you are taking a drug in the high milligrams -- 5% of 200mg is 10mg variation one way or the other, while 5% of 10mg is inconsequential. Your Doctor can decide on how specific the dosage must be depending on the drug and dosage.

Don't worry about any variation in side effects with generics. They're the same basic drug. Keep in mind that all drugs have side effects, so the concern over variation between generic and brand is overshadowed by the general side effects of any drug taken. Be sure to read up on them.

Absolutely no difference. Generic brands of medication are made EXACTLY the same as name brands. It has to do with licensing. When a new drug comes out on the market, they have solitary licensing rights for a certain amount of time, when that time is up, the drug is "up for grabs" so to speak and becomes manufactured under a new name aka. the generic name, however the way the drug is made never changes.

branded or generic, they have the same effects. The branded ones still and should carry the generic name too. Generics give consumers more options on what to buy. They are cheaper than the branded one.Just be sure that the medicines are not fake. Manufacturers have been finding ways to make sure that those who are going to buy their products will be buying the real ones and not the fakes.

The only difference is that They look different, and one is cheaper but there is no side effect difference or anything. Its all the same. My sister takes the generic and my boyfriend takes name brand. Don't worry about anything. You could also google this question.

In my experience, no...I'm sure some people will say yes, but I have used both and they both worked great for me. I was using them for depression, and switched to generic for the price. I never experienced anything as far as ill side effects with either one and they both helped my depression. Good luck.

No... they both suck.

Well actually... The Generic sucks a little more than the brand but that is par for the course. I mean your paying less for it... They're not going to make it better! and why would you expect them to?

It works the same for some and not for others... Exactly why is a long story.

Generic brand medications are EXACTLY the same as name brand, except that they are cheaper. I go generic whenever it is offered... nothing bad has happened yet!
