Take two more pegs with protein rich dry fruits or non-veg food. And then have a sound sleep to get over the hang-over.

There's heaps of them. Some people even swear by them but I guess we are all different. None of them really work, do they ? I prefer the hangover avoidance approach, a bit boring but the mornings are nice to wake up to. I have worked out how many drinks of my favourite poison I can drink, still have a great time at the party...but that last drink is the last. I avoid hangovers at all cost. They're just too painful.

If you're sick to your stomach, DO NOT DRINK WATER! I repeat, DO NOT DRINK WATER! Water will actually make you more sick. If you don't believe me, drink some, and you'll be pukin' in no time. Drink gatorade all day, and then tonight, you can drink water. Eat some chicken noodle soup or drink some chicken broth ... you need the sodium and sugars (hence the Gatorade) to rehydrate & replenish. Ibuprofren will help w/ the head ache more than aspirin.

Also, tonight, drink some cranberry juice so you can clean your kidneys - they're gonna need it after drinkin' a lot!

Hope you feel better soon.

As a bartender I can tell you that alot of people used to come in and order a Red Eye. It is an 8oz glass of beer with a splash of V8 or tomato juice in it. Salted to taste. It worked every time. I have never tried it myself because I would rather not drinking enough to have to worry about a hangover! Good luck!

Two parts to address your question:

First, the cure - lots of water (but don't hydro-tox yourself).
Gatorade is good, too.
Lots of fresh air...breathe in slowly and long.
If you are smoker, then I pity you because THAT is a big reason for your head hurting.

Second, ways to avoid future headbanging - match each drink with a 6oz glass of water...this will help keep the kidneys working.
Also, avoid smoke-filled rooms - keep getting that fresh air...step outside and clear your lungs.
Lastly, try to eat a low-fat, high protein, well-balanced meal before a night of drinking.

DO NOT take tylenol, it's bad for your liver!

Ok, here's what Munya did this morning (too much tee hee ha ha at a birthday party!)....Hot tea, lots of sugar. Then take a heaping teaspoon of ginger (even the stuff you use to bake with will do). Choke that down, and then wrap a heating pad around your head.

Hydrating is the best thing you can do. Drink lots and lots of water. Forget about the Gatorade, it's got too much sugar. Drink water all day, it'll rinse the toxins out of your blood stream.

Whenever I wake up from a looong partying night, I wake up and take two extra strength rapid release tylenols. Then, I make my boyfriend drive me to the corner store to get a Gatoraid and then to burger king for an ultimate omelet samdwhich. I go back home take two more rapid releases and go to sleep. It works for me... I hope it works for you.

The only thing that (occasionally) eases my pain is a big glass of ice cold coke with plenty of ice and some serious junk food, like mcdonalds, pot noodle, chips

Tomato juice (1 glass) and a greasy meal, I suggest the McDonald's dollar menu. I'm not kidding. It works. Period.
