i think to say that there is 'pure' goodness/evil is to say there is no gray area-that means b/c your son committed a crime today means he can't be converted tomorrow-i think there is levels or intensities of evil and goodness-everyone harbors both.

Pure is a good word but am not really sure that it applies descriping good or evil. If only one of them exists that means that other do.I do believe that in life there is a balancing system a thing and its opposite.
The way i see your question is by comparing 2 creatures not the creator with a certain creature. What i mean is that God is above such comparison.
More to it there is 2 ways to find an answer. One on a personal level what a certain person consider as pure evil or pure goodness and that very much depends on the personal path in life and what we have experienced in it. Two if all Humanity agreed on what is pure eveil or pure goodness. Which made me wonder if both of them showed up at the same time creating a struggle wont a group side by eveil and another group side by goodness even a third group taking no sides at all. Now if you asked any one of them what do you think they would answer to about which is evil or and which is goodness ?. May be even some people will consider the party it is self as pure evil or goodness.
I guess it is all about point of views.

I am amazed that the existence of evil is doubted still... Watch the evening news for a few weeks. Look at world history.
Good and evil do exist, and any comprehensive view of reality need to account for them.

The good and evil that you see don't even exist in reality, at least not outside of the mind that believes in them. They are only judgments passed by the individual from their own unique perspective. What one person sees as bad or evil may seem to be the only logical thing to do from some other perspective. The ideas of both good and evil are point of view specific. This is why people like bush and bin laden are either loved or hated. Bush is seen as good by people who share his fear based thought system. Those who have a compassionate concern for all of mankind often see him as evil.
Bin laden is much the same. He is a villain in much of the western world, but he is somewhat of a celebrated pop star on the Middle East. There are T-shirt shops that sell items with his picture as though he was Jesus. It all depends on your point of view or perspective.
To sum it all up good is the name we give to people who do things that we think we like.
Evil is the name we give to people who do the things that we don’t like.
This is of course based solely on our particular point of view.

No, in my opinion, they only are in each mind according with everything it has learned along its life from its parents, family, friends, teachers, culture and system. When people do not say"This is good, this is Bad" and only understand that things only BE... then they will not be scared any more trying to find God far away, that reality is within them , but they are too busy worried on the future and a promised life after their death o they forget to live today and they forget appreciate all the beauty in all the things...

Blimey, another deep but good question from your good self..
Well that would depend upon ones' perception of good and evil. It seems that within our current society the majority of people's opinions are right (so they are followed), and blueprints are set for good and evil, right and wrong.
If you look at anything..there is always going to be an opposite..so yes both exist as two separate entities.

No, I don't think that either exists. I don't know of anything in nature that is either all-positive or all-negative. Judgments of good/evil are man-made and vary from individual to individual, and from one time period to another.
