Baked Macaroni and Cheese
INGREDIENTS
1 pound uncooked macaroni
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 pound shredded American cheese
2 (12 fluid ounce) cans evaporated milk
2 cups water
4 eggs
2 teaspoons mustard powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a shallow three-quart baking dish, toss uncooked macaroni and melted butter together, to coat the macaroni and the inside of the dish. Add cheese, and stir lightly to distribute. In a medium bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, water, eggs, mustard powder, salt, white pepper and cayenne pepper. Pour into the baking dish with the macaroni.
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes, or until the center is set. Remove from the oven, and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
I omit the cayenne pepper just because I don't like it but it is up to you.

Here's a recipe by Alton Brown of the food network. He's one of my favorite chef's on the show. Below is the link and they have tons of mac and cheese recipes.

This is easy. First you want to get elbow macaroni boil them, then drain them. While you drain put a stick of butter in the pot you were boiling the noodles in and let it melt. Then you take one egg and a little milk and beat it together and put it in the melted butter. Next you put the noddles back in the pot with just enough milk to cover them. Next add whatever cheese you want. Most people use Cheddar or Velveeta. Stir it until the cheese melts. Next put it in the baking dish with a little bit of sprinkle cheese on top at 350-375 until it is bubbly and a little brown on top, about 25-30 min.

I just make mac and cheese as usual (boxed kind but I usually do two boxes or buy the little bit bigger box). Boil, drain, add cheese, milk, and butter. Then I put it in a baking dish and add a little extra milk and butter. I then top it off with a bag of shredded colby cheese and bake until it looks good to me.

There's a great and simple recipe for it on the Velveeta box. Follow recipe and then bake for 30 mins. (Add some diced ham!) Loved it since I was a kid.
