If you have a destiny, you have no choice but to follow it. It might be a good idea to pray though. Admit to God that you feel lost, ask forgiveness of your sins (He's slow to anger and quick to forgive), and ask Him to show you what His will for your life is. Don't just pray over this once. Pray and pray. You may not receive an answer right away. It could be as soon as immediately or as distant as two years from now. But pray. God WILL show you your place in this world. I will be praying for you as well.

We all have a destiny. We all get to choose what it will be.....to a point. The biggest choice you will make that will affect your destiny is whether or not you will accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. If you choose Him, He will guide the path your life will take; pray daily and study His word, ask Him for direction and He will lead you. Not only will your life on this earth be better, you will gain eternal life with Him.

The destiny means eternal life of eternal lost of your soul. Without a plan for salvation you will be lost as it taught in the religion world.

You yourself must know your own destiny. It is up to you to follow it and a lot of people may see you heading in the wrong direction and are simply encouraging you to do better.

People are telling you that you are supposed to be something and you don't think you want to follow through with it? Only you know your true destiny, no other person does. You know in your heart what you want to do.

The only advice I can give you is if you one day choose to follow you destiny, do it because of your own free will and not because of people.

Just remember that God gave us the freedom of choice - not predestination.

A quote I heard listening to the radio that makes so much sense is "You are the result of your choices."

So, if you choose to follow a particular course, the result of that is not God's predetermined code for you. It is merely the results of the circumstances you have placed yoruself in.

People who tell you that you have a destiny are spitting psycho-babble.

And if they tell you to follow your heart, remember Jeremiah 17:9.

You didn't give us enough to think about. What do you mean about "people"? What people? Family? Pastor or priest? Your boyfriend? What do you mean about "destiny"? Something that you should do or be?

If you're asking the question to religious people, that means you're not religious??

You can find answers at "Spirit's Book" from Allan Kardec.

Peace!

Read the Bhagavad-gita As-It-Is by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness).

Read Bible and Quran as well and see for yourself what answers your questions and decide your self. Below is an excerpt from the Introduction to Bhagavad-gita-As-It-Is, by A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness).
Yet man professes to belong to a particular type of faith with reference to particular time and circumstance and thus claims to be a Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or any other sect. Such designations are non-sanatana-dharma. A Hindu may change his faith to become a Muslim, or a Muslim may change his faith to become a Hindu, or a Christian may change his faith and so on. But in all circumstances the change of religious faith does not effect the eternal occupation of rendering service to others. The Hindu, Muslim or Christian in all circumstances is servant of someone. Thus, to profess a particular type of sect is not to profess one’s sanatana-dharma. The rendering of service is sanatana-dharma.

Factually we are related to the Supreme Lord in service. The Supreme Lord is the supreme enjoyer, and we living entities are His servitors. We are created for His enjoyment, and if we participate in that eternal enjoyment with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we become happy. We cannot become happy otherwise. It is not possible to be happy independently, just as no one part of the body can be happy without cooperating with the stomach. It is not possible for the living entity to be happy without rendering transcendental loving service unto the Supreme Lord.
