Mia!! Christians do have a sense of humor just not where religon is concerned. Religion is a very serious subject in their lives and they hold it very dear to their hearts. Please understand that when you ask them to say chill or lighten up, you asking for them to drop their guard and maybe question a little. Wont happen programing is programing, and it just wont happen. I am not saying anything is wrong with that but I have some funny video's I could send that could lighten their day's. May God Be With You All

When I first came to R&S I thought it would be a serious forum, where people had serious questions and needed serious answers.
I have since seen this forum as a place to belittle others for their beliefs. There a few serious questions here. So, this has become a place to provide a defense of the faith. A place to provide an alternate to the daily bashing of people of all faiths.
It disheartens me to see people who claim to be Christians participating in the belittlement of others and some who abandon the beliefs of Jesus, yet continue to be called Christians. Christians are to be like Jesus who spent his time teaching the truths of His Father which is in heaven.
I wonder how many real Christians bunghulio knows. I wonder how he knows how Christians act in church or away from church.
Most Atheists don't cozy up to Christians enough to know anything about them.

Generally, Christians deal with hard issues, and we are very serious about telling the truth to people that will help them, in whatever case. I hope that all people would be.
But when it comes to blaspheming or joking about God, that we find very offensive.
Certainly we do (at least I hope most if not all) have a sense of humour.

Their lack of a sense of humor shows when they're answering something about their beliefs. Usually it's religious people bashing Atheists or the other way around. When answering a bash, a person is usually not in his most jolly mood.
I'm sure that at other times they're in a better mood.

Well this isn't the type of discussion that is all about chilling.
It's a passionate and ever contraversial subject.
I'm passionate about my faith, but I really don't feel like I'm all that uptight or try to reform anyone. Just trying to answer the questions to the best of my ability.
Have a nice day!

In this age of Information Explosion it is indeed a dilemma. In spite of the hundreds of Universities where Islam is studied, in the West, there continues to be such ignorance about Allah, Islam, and Muslims that it is l a m e n t a b l e .

It depends on the question. Some questions I can't resist putting in some kind of humorous comment. Others I feel the person is looking for a straightforward answer.

I think some of us have been really chilled, however, people keep giving some really good answers thumbs down, which makes me annoyed, and then so maybe, we answer differently, with less of a sence of humour.
Debates can get very heated in this section, especially with people of strong characters.
