No petstore. Can you say "puppy mill?" No, do not go to a petstore.
Try the AKC classifieds, but do your research on the breeder in question. The first person you call may not be the one, but going through the AKC like that is much better than petstores or newspapers.
Also, you want a boxer. No such thing as a mini as far as a know. maybe get a girl and name he Mini, then you will have mini boxer.

I suggest you start with your local animal shelter. You'll be surprised of all the pure breeds that come through there. Not sure where you live but normally most animal shelters have a Match-a-pet program where you can be put on a waiting list and as soon as the pet you're looking for comes in, they'll call you. If not you can also try www. petfinder.com and search there as well. I'd suggest you try a searching for a rescue group online that only caters to min boxers. If you try all of that, which I hope you do, then look online for pet stores, but why go that way when there's a lot of homeless animals waiting to be adopted. Good luck!

Maybe they don't sell them because there is no such breed. This is another attempt by some money-hungry "breeder" to take advantage of people. If you want a Boxer, adopt one from a shelter or rescue or seek out a reputable breeder. If you don't want a dog that is as large as a Boxer but you like that look and temperament, consider a Boston Terrier.

you should never EVER buy a dog from a pet store! Most of the time these dogs come from inexperienced back yard breeders, who breed dogs for sheer profit and not out of the love of the breed.
Additionally, the conditions these dogs live in are sub-standard.
If you are set on that breed, you should go to akc.org and search for a REPUTABLE breeder in your area. A reputable breeder will never allow a puppy to be taken from it's mother before 8 weeks and will ask you to fill out an application and sign a contract (ususally stating that you will give the dog back to them if you can't keep it as opposed to taking it to a Humane Society). Also, you should be issued papers for your dog.
If, however, you might be willing to take a mix or a similar breed I would highly suggest that you look on petfinder.com for a dog in your area to be adopted. There are many dogs who need good homes! You may even get lucky and find the breed you're looking for. Additionally, you could hook up with a rescue organization, tell them what you're looking for and if they get on in, you can be their first contact.

Please don't buy a Dog...adopt a dog..you can find mini boxers at a mini boxer refuge...Puppy mills are in business because people buy dogs instead of adopting one...I would check all the SPCA's in your area, then look for a refuge, if you don't find a mini boxer, you might be able to find a dog that touches your heart....
I love to adopt animals, I think it is wrong to spend your money buying a dog....
I hope you can save a life...if you have room in your life for a dog, get dog that needs a home...

There is no such breed as a min. Boxer. Anyone who is trying to sell a min. boxer is probably breeding runts together which can cause all kinds of health problems. Run from these people!

a min. boxer? never heard of those. what ever you do, DON'T buy a puppy at a pet store!! especially a breed prone to health problems like a boxer! petstore dogs come from puppy mills, they'll try to tell you otherwise, but they are liars. do not give them business unless you want a sick puppy and lots of vet bills.

put a search on it online, you are bound to find plenty of breeders. But you really should go to your local humane society and see if they have one yo might like to save~it would be a shame to pay tons of money for a dog when you could rescue one and SAVE it's life...
