Is this person a coworker or are you the boss? If you're the boss...don't ask! If dating/relationships are allowed at work, then I'd start light-- ask her to go grab lunch with you. If she says "no" to lunch, then a date will probably not happen. If you two are past this point, and you think she's interested, ask her to go see a movie (or whatever) with you. If she says 'no', you can always act like it was just a casual invitation-- like with lunch. I don't know all the particulars, but I hope this helps.

The same way as you would anyone else. Just go up to him/her and ask. You cant get a hit, if you don't take a swing at the ball.

i say don't, its bad for business and risky business, many companies today have a no fraternization policy in effect

its is very hard to keep your personal and private life from following you to work
