It's not easy being able to tell ANYONE you love that you have a preference for the same sex. However, there are ways to tell them that could make you feel more comfortable. Wait until everything is relaxed and calm. Let it be just the two of you. Then say, "Mom, I'm your daughter. You should love me unconditionally and I know I can talk to about anything. Well, I have something I want to tell you..." Then come out with it. You'll be fine.

Don't! There's no reason to. They see you going out with guys and don't think you're "different", so why should you tell them you also like girls?
