for the past month or so, i have been have abdominal pain in my upper left side. it is a constant aching pain but, through out the day i go through times where the pain is strong enough to take my breath away. Recently i have noticed that my left leg is swollen and when i press down on it, it leaves a dent in my leg that after about 30 sec. goes away. i have been tested for everything, mono, liver, pancreaitus,i have had an endoscopy,CT w/contrast, an ultrasound, x-rays etc. i am now waiting for a GI to call me. i was wondering should i wait or just go to the ER?

you should call your doctor and ask him if you need to go to the ER or just do it! that sounds like it could be a blood clot...
it hard to believe that they can't figure this out yet!?!?!?!
Don't mess around, you need to get help figuring this out ASAP!!!
Best Wishes for your health and recovery:)))

Do not go to ER. You sound like you have a regular doc so if you want to see a doc then see your regular doc not an ER doc. Since you are already being treated for this I am not sure you need to see a doc though as they seem aware of what is going on. If you have concerns though you can either see your doc or call and talk to his nurse. ER docs are meant to be used when you have a real live emergency and your regular doc has his day off or for people who have no doc but have an emergency.

Have they tested for renal (kidney) failure? Are you retaining fluid? Is the pain in your side right to the side or near the back at all?

It could be something to do with maybe circulation even. You should get it checked out! Your body has a way of warning you!

Keep going through tests! Took my mom 9 years to find out what was wrong with me and it was renal failure! But I didn't have the signs you are.

you did not clear about the report of investigation which have been done? Did you get any lump in your abdoment? The swelling in leg may be due to a number of factor i.e. compression on inferior vena cava, Cardiac Problems, Kidney problem, DVT, Lump or mass in abdomen etc. these should be evaluate in your investigation.

It is due to failure of kidneys to filter the blood. It results in excess water in the body resulting in swelling.
Medicine science doesn't have its' reason and hence there is no medicine to treat kidney failure.
Kidneys never fail, it needs to remove blockage in the flow of Vital Energy. If you visit us you will save you. At least approach a skilled acupuncturist.

Probably. See a docter, a.s.a.p. and make it a proffesional.
