Don't skin them, just squeeze out the filling (after de-stinging, of course). Much easier.

The skin tastes like chicken skin and you can leave the sting in.
Once it has boiled, it will not sting anymore, just like nettles.
Nettles are actually used in cooking....
....oh yes, but so are bees !! Yummy !

Think you will be much better making wasp soup.
You don't have to skin them and you can first allow them to bite and sting you before you cook them as this will add to the flavour or the soup and appeal to your masochist side.

boiling them takes away the sting so no need to remove first. as for skinning them, again not necessary as when you liquidize them and then pass them through a sieve it will be a smooth soup.
a good granish though is a sprikle of deep fried bees......they have a real bite :-)

De-stinging the bee's first, would be highly favourable!

Your joking right? No one in their right mind eats BEES! That's crazy! if you AREN'T joking.....well....the poor bees won't be able to pollinate your flowers lol. And to answer your question, "do you need to de-sting them first?" I don't know about you, but I certainly wouldn't want to have a big welt on my tongue. lol....................bee soup....that just sounds so gross.

........skin bees for bee soup? well,....I'd leave the stinger on for an extra kick and add lots of tabasco sauce....and leave the skin on, it's the best part, it gives the soup the flavor!

ask the bee. Its best to go as near to the hive as you can, best with your head against the hive, breathe down your nose and speak gently with a rush of air.
they repond to this kinda thing.
