If someone living in USA receives a registered airmail envelope from overseas, will this envelope be delivered to his address or should he fetch that envelope at the Post office.

it would be delivered to his address but being its registered.. i do believe he would have to sign for it upon delivery. If he isnt home after a few attempts at delivery ( i think its 2 attempts) then the post office will leave him a notice and he will have to go into the post office to sign for the package

Registered or certified mail requires a signature from the person that it's addressed to so the person would be required to go to the post office to get it.

It only goes to the Post Office if you put their name and General Delivery with the Post OFfice City and Zip, otherwise it goes to the home or apartment.
An exception to this would be if the person was NOT AT HOME when the postal person came, in which case they'd leave yo ua notice and THEN you have to go to your post office and pick itup.

More than likely they'll attempt to deliver it to his home, but if he is not there, they'll leave him a postcard instructing him to pick it up from the post office.
Typically, if it's overseas, they try to hand deliver it.
