My AKC females weigh between 60-75 lbs. It really depends on their background traits. They are considered large dogs.

Keep all GSDs lean to prevent bone and joint issues, but it mostly depends on build, lineage, etc. 55-70ish lbs is probably fine for a fine boned to slightly larger boned dog. Just make sure you can see a tuck up of their stomach from the side, a tuck in from the top, and be able to physically see and feel two ribs.

My adult female is 5 years old and weight about 220 lbs.
When she stand on her hind legs she can put her front paws on my shoulders.

depends on size, age. what was weight of mother/
many variables.
