this modern world.....ah! yes, i felt this way too, i'm not comfortable if i forget my phone at home, and yes, i too feel lonely if none is calling or texting me, it's perfectly natural. And the mobile phone i think became one of the essential items of daily life, i don't think your addicted, and i don't think you should do anything, besides thinking about why is this item so important to you? why is connecting to other people so important to you? not the phone itself is an addiction, but the need to constantly be able to communicate with others is something you should think about. why do you have to feel that you can be reached? these questions you can answer only yourself.

I think you should try to calm down a bit, yes you do have an addiction to your phone but I think its also making you very insecure too, can you imagine how irritating it is for the people you are continually texting all the time, no wonder people are taking more and more time to text you back its taking forever for them to read all the ones your sending them, I think maybe you could limit yourself to the amount of text messages you send each day and cut it down until your just doing the necessary ones and the not ones that are driving others crazy, just think of the money you could save too, jeez bet you would have enough for a romantic weekend away within a couple of months, now chill out a bit and do less texting or people are going to be thinking you have an inferiority complex too, good luck.

You need to leave it at home for a long period.
I cant think of any employer who would allow you to waste time on your phone when you should be working.
Theres a great deal more to life than your phone.
