My guess is for that offense and your age they'll want to see you in court to revoke your license.
You should have plenty of time to think how you screwed up on the bus to school.

You should always go to court on any citation you receive.
Your only 16 and have already displayed an attitude of not caring for the privilege you were given when you received your license. Yes young person, it is a privilege not a right to drive, that’s why that privilege can be taken away by your actions.
I the state and city I patrol, fines double for juveniles who violated traffic violation upon receiving their driver’s license. That’s because it’s the young immature person who drive with due disregard for safety of others on the street and are also the majority of the people we pull for smashed autos after they crash.
Yes, go to court that citation for racing. And if you lived in the state I patrol, because of your age at the time you received the citation, your court appearance is mandatory, not an option.
See you in court.

It depends on your State and the local laws. In my State drag racing is a serious offense (first degree misdemeanor).
Does the ticket list a fine amount you can mail in or is the "mandatory court" box checked?
It would be my guess that you should prepare to lose your driver's license.

The issuing officer should have explained how the citation would be handled. Juveniles in this state (NV) that receive a citation are contacted by the juvenile department. We only issue bail amounts ($$$) to out- of- state juveniles. In this case, they have three options: 1) appear on the assigned date.. 2) Mail in the amount by the given date or 3) make arrangements over the phone.

Well it all depends, where i live if you go over 30mph then you have to appear in court if not then you can just mail in the money. There should be a phone number on the ticket in the top left or right corner you can call up one of those numbers and ask and they will tell you. After all that i recommend traffic school that way your insurance wont go up and your parents wont kill you. lol

It should be checked off on the ticket if a court appearance is required.
Speed limits are there for a reason-3 guys were just killed near me for drag racing, do you want to kill a passenger or yourself?
Use your head.

As long as the ticket states the amount of the fine and you send the money in BEFORE the court date - then you won't have to go to court.

You can probably mail the fine. But I suggest that you go to court (possibly take trafic school). You are too young to have a bad entry in your record.

your license should be revoked. you have proven that are not responsible enough to drive a car. your parents better restrict you.
in my state, it depends on how fast you were going if you have to appear. for everyones sake, i hope you do and they suspend your license until you are 21. god, what is wrong with you to put people in danger like that? dont you get it?
