Hello... This is a question that I would prefer a woman to respond too that's because I believe only you know better than us man what you think...
What does it mean when a girl tells you that she adores you?
This is the situation that I am in at this moment with this girl... I meet her again after 10 years and she knows that when we were kids I had a huge crush on her... We have been talking on the phone for the last 3 years but we only meet for my birthday last month "she came only to see me :)"... She knew that I had a girl a the time but me and my ex were going that well and when she came here things got a little bit out of hand... I didn't think that I would still have strong feelings about her but I do and she knows that. I am going back to AZ that's where she lives in a month and since she left we talk only once a week. I wish we could talk more but she doesn't like talking on the phone... Last week I got her birthday card and she wrote "I adore you"

Doesn't like talking on the phone? That's what i say when I want off the phone or never have anything to say to certain people.
She adores you?.................. She just thinks you're cute and nice.

I adore you = I love you in a platonic way. If she doesn't like talking to you and knows how strong your feelings are for her, perhaps this is her way of telling you gently that she cares for you, but doesn't want to lead you on. I have many guy friends that I love platonically and tell them often that I adore them and am glad they are in my life.
My advice....write her back and tell her that you adore her too and that you cherish her being in your life. There is a saying that I love but I'm not sure who coined the phrase. Anyway.....here it is. "Even though someone doesn't love you the way that you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have".
There is one more thing to consider, perhaps she's been hurt in the time you were apart and just wants to take things slowly. Give the situation time and follow your heart, but don't come on too strong to her, because that will make her run.

Omg! that sounds so romantic. What i think is that she likes you as well, and because it's a b-day card, she feels she can get away w/ saying more than she would normally w/ some1 who may or may not b taken. that sounds wonderful, and I see her in your future! good luck!

Means that she thinks highly of you, very much so. Adore means: love, worship, esteem, respect, admire, be mad about, be passionate about, be stuck on, be crazy about, etc.
