When people pose a question that is obviously stated in such a way as to demean or belittle or make someone look foolish the temptation is to respond in a nasty manner. But I think you are 100% right and that anger and nastiness rarely accomplishes anything positive. We really do need to tone it down a little. Thank you for pointing this out to all of us.

That would be nice, HOWEVER... I have a clone who also clones many others and trolls here all the time. He recently told me that if I don't answer his highly offensive, idiotic attacks on Islam, he will stop cloning me. Does that seem logical? Is it ok for him to call Muslims pigs and dogs and I am not allowed to defend a religion I happen to deeply respect? If I answer ANY of his questions in a way he finds offensive (yes, I called him an idiot), he starts with the attacks on me, my husband, Islam, Morocco (where I live) etc... I am generally very tolerant, respectful and patient with people, and I usually answer in a polite manner. BUT I will NOT be harassed and bribed by an anti-Muslim coward who hides behind stolen IDs.

Gee, I *wish* you guys who complain would give examples. This is about the 4th time I've seen this, and there's *never* an example. What offends you may not be offensive or nasty to me or anyone else. (This is usually leveled at non-believers.)
So if I say that there is/are no God(s), no heaven, no angels, no devils and no Hell ('cept in Norway)... is that "nasty"?
Because a Xian saying there is a God and a Heaven, etc., is an equal and opposite statement (though I couldn't care less *personally*, so it's not "nasty" to me . Nor do I care if I'm told I'll "burn in hell" or similar, 'cause it doesn't exist, though some Xian folk have strongly stated that that's a "nasty".)

I don't think I've ever been nasty...
(If I'm wrong, somebody tell me.)
I'm often sorely tempted but, to be honest, even more by awful spelling, ludicrous phrasing, and the failure to avoid repeat questions than the theology, or lack of it, itself.
I don't want to turn into a grammar nazi.
I'm trying to hold it down to being a grammar Rommel.

Why would you say that? Why not just start being polite? What do you want?- an award for acting like a normal human? I have never read anything that you have written before, but I have come accross other people's rude posts. What in the world???!!!!!
So, why did you do it? Were you bored? Or were you just going through a hater phase?

I try an avoid being judgemental.
I just follow the teachings of Jesus and turn over tables, yell and scream at all the moneylenders and gamblers and chase them out of the R&S area.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I started to try to be nice... something about not agreeing on a passionate subject really upsets people! We are supposed to have differences in opinion....right?

I try to answer honestly and to be helpful BUT sometimes the question is purposely (and I hope it is on purpose) stupid that it invites a sharp retort. But I don't feel good about myself after.
