There is an easy way to make exercise fun simply by using things around the house. OR ... just any physical activity that gets you moving, such as mowing the lawn, walking the dog, helping with chores such as vacuuming, laundry, etc.
There is also what is called a couch potato workout in which you get yourself moving each and every time you are watching television, but only during commercials... You can do squats, leg lifts, walking in place...
Get some hand held weights or use canned veggies for this and do some arm lifts.
Any activity that gets your heart rate up and keeps it up for a while is great and can be beneficial.
Hope this helps and good luck!! :)

First of all, quit whining and get a POSITIVE attitude. If you are grounded for the rest of the year you must have done something pretty bad.
If you want to lose some weight do not be a couch potato. There are plenty of activities that you can do inside your house to lose some weight and exercise.
Second step is to make sure you are eating a healthy well balanced diet. No more junk food, get rid of the chips, chocolates, candy, crackers and do not let your Mom or whoever does the grocery shopping buy that stuff. This also includes giving up all kinds of pop -- no more allowed. Drink water, it helps keep your body healthy.
Third step is to make sure you are doing some household chores while you are grounded. It doesn't sound like you do too many of them now. Chores will help you get some exercise, simple things like vacuuming, dusting around the house, cleaning up and putting away things. Start with your bedroom-- if it is a pig stye, then you will probably look like one too. By showing this initiative to help out around the house then maybe your parents will not be so tough on you around your being grounded for so long.
Lastly remember that by being grounded it is not the end of the world. You are still young. There are many adventures out there for you to enjoy.
Stay Positive.
Stay Focused on eating well.
Stay Energized by exercising through chores
Best of luck and let us know how it goes.

first of all what did you do so bad that you got grounded for the rest of the year? school year or calendar year? Anyway, Do you have any equipment? Treadmill or something? Can you go out of the house at all? take a walk or ride a bike? I mean even prisons let the felons out once a day. If not, you can do sit ups, jog in place or aerobics. toning exercises to tone the muscles like leg lifts, squats, climb the stairs about 50 times and such. Since you have the computer it's not hard to look for exercises on line. try that. start by eating healthy. cut out junk food and cut it cold turkey for now, eat eggs, tuna, chicken, salads and fruits and veggies. You will have to be committed and true to wanting to achieve success and believe you can do it. Think of how you got where you are and change your habits. GOOD LUCK!

Well, if you have an iPod or music, use that to excersize. I usually do crunches to music. What I do to be healthy and thin is watch TV but also excersize while watching. Everytime music plays on MTV, I do crunches to the music, and when it stops, I stop. This actually did work, since it kept losing me a pound a week. Although it is a pain....also, you can use a fitness machine like the Ab Lounge. The easiest fitness machine that I've used so far is this one:
http://www3.jcpenney.com/jcp/Products.aspx?DeptID=597&CatID=31594&CatTyp=DEP&ItemTyp=G&GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=11f5bd3&ProdSeq=14&Cat=treadmills%26gyms&Dep=Women%27s&PCat=Fitness+Equipment&PCatID=30411&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=16&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll.aspx&RefCatID=30411&RefDeptID=597&Page=99&CmCatId=25439|25869|30411|31594
Hula Hooping is also a good way to lose weight and make your middle thinner. But as for eating, I advise you to use the 50-25-25 diet. I got this diet from a magazine and it tells you to cut out 500 calories every day and you'll lose about a pound a week. One way to estimate your daily calories for maintaining your current weight (not losing weight) is to take your weight now and multiply it by 15. That total number covers your metabolic needs for the day and factors in a little bit of light activity. Subtract 500 calories from that number, and that's your starting point for daily calories for weight loss. The 50-25-25 diet is a diet where you eat 50% carbohydrates, 25% proteins, and 25% fats from food.
If you wan to start this diet, don't forget this:
CARBOHYDRATES AND PROTEINS CONTAIN 4 CALORIES PER GRAM AND ALL FATS CONTAIN 9 CALORIES PER GRAM.
This is a chart for how many calories form each group you should eat:
Daily - Carbohydrate - Protein - Fat
Calories Calories Calories Calories
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1,200 - 600 - 300 - 300
1,400 - 700 - 350 - 350
1,600 - 800 - 400 - 400
1,800 - 900 - 450 - 450
2,000 - 1,000 - 500 - 500
2,200 - 1,100 - 550 - 550
2,400 - 1,200 - 600 - 600
To count your calories, don't forget to look at nutrition facts and also remeber the sentence that I told you to remember. That way, you count them easier. Also, if you feel like you want to go a binge, "The Diet for Teenagers Only" book says that you should gargle minty mouthwash and wait 15 minutes. Your urge to eat should go away. This wroks somewhat for me, maybe it might work for you. :)
P.S. The chart didn't come out right so just remember that the first section of numbers is the daily calories. The 2nd section going up and down is Carbohydrate calories and so on.....

Hmm...
Well, first off - eat smart. Cut out snacks you are eating because you feel like it. Cut back on junk food (cookies, chips, soda-pop, the likes) and increase the foods you aren't getting enough of (veggies, fruits, whole grains, dairy, and even water).
As far as exercising, you can to yoga/pilates. They are easy indoor activities that help burn calories and really help tone. 3 sessions a week is enough for you to get results. Does your family have a treadmil or stationary bike or any other piece of exercise eqp? My only other suggestion is to offer going for a walk with a "chaperone". Ask your parents if they wouldnt mind going for a 30 minute walk with you - that way you both are getting exercise, and even though you are leaving the house - there is no way you can get into trouble if your parents are there with you. Just explain to them you want to lose weight and be healthier, and you would like to go for a walk. You can even suggest walking together would give one-on-one time with them and it will help you be able to talk more, and become closer.

Fitness videos. Start with a series called "Walk Away the Pounds." It's walking in place, indoors, and has a number of different formats. You can find some of them on Netflix, even: rent one and try it for a week. If you can at least go to your back yard, there's always jumping rope.
As for eating, go for the fruits and veggies. Normal common sense tips, such as cutting back on sweets and empty calories. Drink water. Drinking water helps flush out the body, so when you start losing weight, you also get rid of the toxins, too.

Ask your mom to pick you up some workout DVD's. Leslie Sansome "Walk Off The Pound" Get the 3 mile walk if you want to actually see results. It's a 45 minute workout.
You need to do this everyday if possible.
As far as dieting. You need to cut your calories. Watch the portions you select at meal times. Reduce the normal amount you eat. Stop eating sweets if you do. Stop drinking sodas. Drink plenty of water everyday. Crystal Light is really good.
If your parents will let you out of the house....se if they will let you walk around the neighborhood.

You could do some housework.
That being out of the question, push-ups and crunches require very little space.
Pilates is excellent, and calming as well.
The hunger strike was hilarious, but not a good idea.
Not sure you should consider the clay eating.
This isn't worth getting sick over.
It takes awhile to gain weight, and it takes awhile to lose it.
About 3 pounds a week is reasonable. It adds up.

If you have a set of stairs in your house, try going up and down them a bunch of times. That will work your leg muscles and will help burn fat if you get your heart rate going fast enough. Also, try finding one of those workout shows on TV and following along as best as you can.
