Once three men went to a restaurent. They had a good meal and the bill came up to Rs 25/-. All three of them decided to pay 10 each to make 30 Rs. After getting 5Rs back they gave Rs2 as tip to the waiter and distributed 3 Rs among themselves. Now if each man paid 9 Rs so their total was 27 Rs and gave the waiter 2 Rs as tip which makes it up to 29 Rs then where on earth is the Re 1/- ?

hey foooool. look bill equals Rs 25. those 3 give Rs2 as tip. now tell me whats the confussion. total comes up to Rs 27 no matter they get Rs 3 back after paying Rs 30 or They pay exactly Rs 27. there is no need to add rs 2 to Rs27. cuz it includes both bill and the tip

i was just thinking about asking this question...
after getting 5 back and giving 2 to the waiter, they gave a total of 27 (25+2). then they had the remaining 3 (5-2). This equals 30 (27+3).

if each one of them paid rs 9
so the toal would become rs 27
and the bill was of rs 25
and they gave the waiter rs 2 as the tip
so on the whole they paid
rs 25 + rs 2 = rs 27
so there's no question of re 1.
so if each one of them pays rs 9 nothing will be distributed after the payment.

Let assume A,B,C are three men
Bill is 25 Rs
Tips is 2 Rs.
So total 27 is including the tips.
the balance is 3 rs
so totally 30 Rs.
nothing wrong in the maths.
