I'm healthy, relatively fit, eat a good diet and get 7-8 hours sleep a night - but I'm always tired! Any ideas how to combat this?

Probably iron deficiency. You need to take tablets. See you GP and get a blood test done.

There are other important issues to consider that you missed out. Even though your fit do you get out of the house everyday? What time do you wake up in the morning and go to sleep because even tho you get 8 hours sleep if you got up pretty late during the day and went to bed late then it wud make you feel tired. However if it is a serious problem you should go to the doctors to be on the safe side, as it may be something more serious.

You are not alone.

I feel pretty much the same way on many days on.
I do not know why. At other times I am full of zest.
It could be do to worries and other emotional reasons, aside of what everyone has said.

Sometimes I take a rest form heavy exercise and just do lite things I enjoy, that seems to help sometimes. Others, I just have to live with it and keep going.

Yes, I have taken vitamins and suplements, etc, but with little change or benefit.

Hope you and all of us that sometimes feel the same find a solution soon.

Hmmm I have this problem too, I started to take iron tablets incase I was anaemic but this didn't help, I've also been tested for thyroid function as if you have an underactive one it can cause tiredness.

Are you active? sport can wake you up & make you feel better, also you on any medication? medication can make you sleepy/drowsy.

Another thing I've recently found out is that your diet can affect you. Apparently if you're intolerant to certain foods this can make you feel tired. I'd suggest you go see your GP though.

Are you getting enough out of life? Do some extra activities ie. cycling, walking, maybe the gym, squash, badminton, or go out to see a stimulating movie!!
Join a class to stimulate the mind..hobbies and interests.. you may have some of these.

If your curtains are light when you sleep try wearing a sleep mask, there are lavender ones, herbal made out of satin material. Or you could pick up one from Boots made out of plastic that is used for travelling by plane..

Try having a milky drink..

Hope you sort it..

Go to the doctor and have a blood test. You could be anaemic or have some other underlying problem

Your iron levels could be low, so I would go for a check at your docs
