It is usually done laprascopic so you will only have 3 small incisions in your abdomen. One of them is for a small camera they put in you and they break up your gallbladder and remove it. I am a nursing student and have seen it done. It is pretty interesting. You will probably be out of the hospital that same day and will need to rest for a few days after. Do not lift any heavy objects. You may be given a local and a general anaesthetic. If you have any questions you should talk to your doctor because he will be able to answer them best. Hope this helped

i'm very happy with ways the technique went. It replaced right into an afternoon surgical operation.I had some nausea while i replaced into allowed to flow abode approximately 4 hours after the technique. i'm sixty seven years previous. that's day 4 (placed up op) for me and that i did not require any soreness meds on the instant in any respect. I had 4 ports in my technique. The abdomen button one is the main mushy. I easily have been up and around yet have compelled myself to chill out oftentimes to make helpful I heal rapid. be certain you don't get constipated. Drink a lot of water and eats a lot of fruit. I enjoyed my first real bathe on the instant. Felt remarkable. This surgical operation went way extra effective than i presumed.

In my area you are in hospital a few days but when the gallbladder is removed remember you still have to watch your diet. - i have gallstones and will not get the operation, i watch my diet and have done for nearly 30 years.

its normally outpatient surgery so in the hospital for a few hours then 3-5 days at home. Just take your pain killers when you are supposed to and you will be fine

Mainly I think you can expect to have your gallbladder removed.
