this has been going on for 5 years! he has gone the upper GI/lower route, had a colonoscopy, and other related screenings to no avail. antibiotics have been prescribed to no avail. help!

sounds like he's under a doctors care...Do they know he still has
pain? Have they done a CT scan? If the pain is acute, or worse today than before, he might go to the ER, then they might do a CT and at least you'll know what's not wrong! Chronic abdominal pain can be frustrating. Sounds like if he's never had a CT, he needs one, possible US too.
