Each person must find their own meaning in life. If you are currently experiencing a personal crisis in this regard I would suggest doing one of the following:
Get involved with charitable work. Really immerse yourself in it. The Peace Corps comes to mind. Doing something substantial on a 7 days a week basis to help people who eke by on a subsistence living will give great meaning to your life.
Go back to school. Get a liberal arts education. Developing your intellectual potential will answer a lot of your questions.
Get physically active. Set some goal for yourself. Start by climbing a mountain in Colorado. Then climb Kilimanjaro in Africa. Have as a goal eventually climbing Everest. The accomplishment of a physical goal will give meaning in your life.

I also recommend the book Purpose Driven Life, by Rick Warren. Other than the Bible it's one of my favorite books.
Another good book is Captivating.
God's Word tells us our purpose is to praise, worship and glorify God in all we do.

To Have a purpose, to Follow God, and To help others and love others. Our life has a great meaning to it! Yes life is rough, but its life.

You should get the book "The Purpose Driven Life"
it's really good and may uncover your spiritual gift as well.
It is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, his work on the cross in saving you and to live to spread the good news.
