Having some trouble making and keeping friends? People will avoid associating with you for any of the following reasons:
1. Poor social skills. You haven't learned yet when to be quiet, when to speak, how to compliment, how to insult, when to invade personal space, when not to.... all of the customs we have developed as a society, around social integration, you may have never learned.
2. Association. Some people will choose to avoid you because of your.... friends. If you associate yourself with a particular identity, you are more likely to cause other people with conflicting associations to avoid you.
3. Reputation. Are you a good person? Do you treat people well? Have you done things that are morally honorable or reprehensible? As my dad always used to say: "The only thing that gets to where you're going before you do, son, is your reputation."
4. It could be a symptom of a medical problem, such as Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, or brain tissue damage/removal.
That's enough for now; I think you get the idea.
But here's a consolation for you: many people never develop solid social skills, and they are still fantastic people, with outstanding friends, and they accomplish stellar things in life.
Check this out... here's a shortlist of famous (historical & contemporary) people reputed to have very poor social skills:
-Hans Christian Andersen (author of "The Princess and the Pea", "The Little Mermaid")
-Henry Cavendish (18th Century Scientist)
-Albert Einstein!!! (thought to have Asperger's Syndrome)
-Thomas Jefferson (U.S. President)
-James Joyce (author of Ulysses)
-Michelangelo (David sculture, & painted the Sistine Chapel, etc.)
-Isaac Newton (thought to have Asperger's syndrome)
-Bill Gates
There you go!
Oh... and one more thing...
I've come to expect, in my profession, to receive requests for my resignation along with plenty of hate letters on a regular basis. In fact, when I stop receiving them, I start to get a little worried. I've discovered that whenever you're causing change--whenever you are making a difference--you will always have your critics. Expect them. Cherish them. Choose them wisely!
Good luck!

I don't hate you. I don't even know you. Besides hate is a really powerful emotion that I choose not to subject myself to let alone anyone else. If people really hate you consider yourself POWERFUL. He that angers you controls you.
