I absolutely LOVE it!!! I love it when guys and girls get tattoos i'd say go for the full sleeve it's way better. I would definetely get it. Only i'm just going to put names on my arms where my elbows bend. Well for me, (i don't know about you) but i LOVE needles so i would tattoo pins and needles. That would be awesome. I think it would be great if like on one of your arms you got like all the things you like or enjoy in life in color, like for me it would be pins and needles and things like that. And on the other arm you could put some things your afraid of or just don't like in just black like for me i would put large windows and maybe water because i'm terrified of large windows and large amounts of water. So you would have a colorful arm and a black one the colored one showing all of the beauties of life, while the other, the black one would show how life isn't always perfect but those few good things are just enough to get you by. Anyways you should consider that it could be very awesome like telling a story of yourself with paintings on your body thats so great and i would like to hear what you thought of it. Well however it turns out and whatever you decide to do with it have fun and i would absolutely LOVE to know and see how it turns out. Email me if you can.

There's a woman who works in my local library (where you'd assume they expected staff to dress really conservatively) who has full sleeves on both arms, and they look great - they're obviously really well planned. They're basically big red flowers with green foliage.

I don't see any reason why a woman shouldn't get a sleeve done if that's what she wants. Frankly, as well, better to know early on that this might be something you'd like to have done, rather than having one tattoo done on your arm, then another, and just ending up with lots of bits and pieces that don't go together so well or look so good as getting a sleeve would've.

Hope this helps!

I have a half sleeve, and am starting on another half sleeve. Both of mine are babydolls, which is something that I have a secret passion for. I do agree with Somebody, sleeves usually are better if they are one big cohesive piece, not a bunch of tiny tattoos, but really, that is what fillers are for. I am most likely going to have stars and some negative space tattoos in the areas that look a little blank on my arms. I would say pick something you are passionate about, and go off that. Girls like Sabina Kelley that are sleeved with beautiful tattoos are some of the most beautiful in the world, in my opinion.

I love to see a well done sleeve on a lady. My lady has pretty much an upper arm sleeve, so far. I myself am slowly working on a full sleeve, (or two)

Well, I think they are really funky. Not had a tattoo myself (don't have the guts!) but I think they look great as sleeves. The best one I've seen is on this woman who works in a tattoo studio - her sleeve is different characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas, in different scenes, and I think it looks fantastic. She also has this really cool sleve on the other arm with stars and comets and stuff, like the sky, which is amazing too. I have a friend with a similar one - 5-pointed stars in different sizes, with swirls around them. I love that too!

I don't have sleeves, but I would love to get half sleeves. I just can't find the right ideas and courage to do such a bold thing. I would probably get an old school sleeve though

I love them a lot and I think you should go for it, but I would try to go for one large flowing image instead of having a bunch of random art with filler in between, find a theme, stick with it.

hell to the yeah baby on the sleeve...

can you get a half sleeve now and then if you want finish it out with a full sleeve? Just tell your artist what you may do in the future.

either way....

i don't have a sleeve, or any tattoos on my arms at all. mostly because i know that i am not ready for the commitment that comes with having highly visible tattoos. i sometimes think that maybe when i am older and more established and sure of it i will... maybe.
i personally like sleeves on women but only if they are cohesive and flow well. too often there are just a collection of random tattoos that have no seeming purpose and i don't like those as much. i don't like full sleeves as much as i like 3/4 sleeves. i'm not sure why tho.

I would be a little put off by this in a situ where you need to look dressed up, I like tats on women, but in discreet places that can be shown off as and when is appropriate.

Tat sleeves and evening dresses work really well on a small number of women, but many women just couldn't pull it off. People are very judgemental, and I think it would change a good few occasions in life for the worst.

This isn't meant to offend anyone, I got called a cheap chav recently for having a 50's pin up tat on the curve on the small of my back!

i have many tattoos and the only thing i can say is that if you want it, like it and it will have a lasting meaning that is personal to you, have it. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks! however sleeves do hurt.
