When someone on the streets call you a B**** we get mad and be ready to fight, your home girl can call you a ***** and we just look past it, but if your MAN or your significant other call you a B**** it feels like you been disrespected.

well when a guy does that to me....it just hurts my feelings...espeically if it comes from someone you love alot, you just dont expect that kind of thing from them.

When someone on the streets calls you a B**** some may get upset and ready to fight because a stranger is judging you without knowing you whether you are really a B**** or not.
In most cases you don't get mad and upset with your homegirl when she may call you a B**** because sometimes we girls just joke around like that and either you know she doesn't really mean it disrespectfully and if she does you have this special bond and she is just calling you out if and when you are really being one. You don't get upset because you know she is right and she is your friend.
When a MAN calls you a B**** it is usually when he is upset and it is said in a way and tone of disrespect unless of course you two have the type of relationship where you are just playing around, he may jokingly call you that and you know he doesn't really believe it and really mean anything by it.
I don't think its the best word to use but again in any instance it depends on if is said to be disrespectful to hurt you or not really meant to hurt you. Just depends.

Sincere,Baby-Doll It use to bother me alot and I could maul a person to pieces like a pit bull-just with my tongue-and never use one single cuss word.Now like fine wine- I've aged and it really doesn't matter to me anymore. It feels so good when you can walk away -head high and go to sleep and rest peacfully. I guess either way- to some I come out still looking like a B****!! The older you get you'll probably be the same way. You Rise Above it!! Oh! and by the way, it's sad but true the people you love are really the ones that can get to you and they know it- I'm having to learn not to care that much with them also- I've let them dump on me so much- sounds contrary when you're the B****, but I have-they are the only ones, but I'm learning with that area too, and that's the hard one, but I'm getting there. I'v e had too. That's the way it is here!!Oh and my Man would never call me that- we've had some harsh words on occasion but he knows not to go there. He has that much respect for me, I'm thankful for that.

When my husband and I used to fight, he would call me names like that and I called him on it one night and told him that no matter how mad I get at him, I never call him names because I love him. It really does hurt. Regardless of the arguement, mature adults should not sink to name-calling. It immature and hurtful. I know certain things are said in the heat of the moment but calling your wife or your girlfriend a B*tch, or whatever, isn't going to help. It makes it worse, just like calling your husband a b*stard or a pr*ck.
My husband doesn't do it anymore because I told him how disrespectful it is to me, and since I don't do it to him, he shouldn't do it to me. I'm his wife and the mother of his children. So now we fight without the name-calling...although, I'm sure we're both thinking what we'd like to call each other. Its important that you keep that under your hat!

i feel you... I get so pissed off. I feel like he disrespected me. And it's hard to accept the one that is suppose to respect you and care for you call you a disrespectful name. It hurts coming from your significant other.

B/c people u only care about can get u that upset...my gfriends call eachother b*tches all the time and it's cool nobody gets mad. Me personally I substitute the word by saying "heffa".
So what ur feeling is normal & we do act like b*tches sometimes!! lol

it really isnt a nice term. another girl calling us that is like saying, "hey aint it funny that they call us this", but when other people say it its like an insult...and insults hurt the most when they are from someone u love adn who u thought respected and cared about you. its one of those things that isnt really ok 4 anyone to say but certain people can get away with it. it also has a lot to do with HOW its said

You're Suppose to mean Everything to them and them to you... You share Everything (at least Most things) and it is Way more personal then even a friend or stranger saying that to you... especially if this is someone whom you want to spend you life with, or at least a really long time with...
