Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

You did not specify your girlfriend age, likewise yours, but not worry, if you still have a mum, try and ask her what your dad gave her on her first birthday , after thier first dating.
Then you can think about what u can offer your mum too, choose among the two and give as a gift to your girlfriend.

I guess that depends on how long the 2 of u have been going out. What type of things does she like? Do u know if she has any hobbies? How much money do u want to spend? Do u know any of her friends that might be able to help u pick out something. Jewerly -clothes -purses -perfume -kitten -puppy -stuff animal -cd's -take out to nice place to eat -candles -books -it just depends on what she likes and her hobbies.

So many gift questions....I suggest taking her to a quiet place...peace and quiet is the best place to be away from all the noise....like a secret lunch set out on the beach....things that you two can remember......

Offer her your heart and soul. LOL...well seriously some girls like very pricy items and are very materialistic, while others don't really go after expensive and materialistic things. I suggest somthing simple- Make a photo frame and put a pic of you and her in it...she'll love it.

take her somewhere romantic and give her a necklace, or braclet, not a ring unless you want to pop the question. dress up when u give it too her make it fun

gals like small things... for eg: diamond... any gal would love it... after all diamonds are girls best friend...! if she is ur permanent girl then go for it... if u think its out of ur budget give her a silver chian, with any interestin pendent...! hey dont forget red rose add it tooo... she gonna love it....

u can get her what she likes the best- like a wrist watch, a cool anklet, perfume, or a candle lite dinner.
