I just think it's funny everytime I'm on here, that most of what I see is:
Christians are stupid and ignorant. Just look at what they believe in? Are they delusional or something?

So I ask you non-christians:
Does it bother you that you live in a country (USA) that is just not mostly christian, but is primarly dominated by christians? Do you truly believe that more than half the world and almost 86% of America is stupid and delusional? If so, then I think your all the delusional ones.

You sound more like a Athenian than a Spartan. Is it possible you thought of this while making man-boy love?

About 15% of the US is 'actively' Christian- regular church attendance, decent knowledge of the Bible, regularly prays other than meals or bedtime.

About 70% of the US puts down 'Christian' on the census or other forms, but most do not routinely DO anything that would qualify them as Christian. The old joke goes "if being a Christian was against the law, would their be enough evidence in your life to arrest you?"

Even amongst those who actively believe, there is a wide range of belief and opinion. Some hold a very narrow interpretation of the Bible that sometimes seems to preclude any rational thought.

Some of us hold intrepretations that seem to better reflect real life. For example, I find no reason in the Bible to think that the books of history are inspired in the same way as the laws and the prophets are, so I do not think that the book of Genesis, for example, is meant to be literal.

As far as the Laws go, as a gentile, I seem to fall under the code discussed in Acts 15, where it is clearly stated that gentiles do not fall under most of the Mosaic Law.

It is entirely possible to hold a pretty rational view of the world and still be a Christian trying to live a righteous life.

I am a Christian and I am NOT stupid or ignorant, thank-you! What does bother me is that there are 86% claiming to be Christians. If that were true, this country would NOT be in the shape it is in, and more would be done about all the lies that this government, and the media keep feeding us. If this country WERE Christian, we'd put a stop to the lies and there would be Truth in government and in the media. The FDA would not be run by the Pharmaceutical companies and doctors would actually learn healing, instead of treatment........don't get me started!!!! A true Christian is NOT delusional. A true Christian knows the truth, and that's what makes people mock them. We know things that you will never understand in your mind of flesh, and that only makes you mock even more, so bring it on!

I say live and let live, but it does bother me that the 86% is trying to force their personal religious beliefs into politics and into law and onto the rest of us.

Just for your information, I have read that 90% of the world population has an IQ of average to below average. I guess many of the 90% do live in the US.

It doesn't really bother me, I'd rather live with ignorant Christians than people in Iraq where people kill themselves for the destruction of others. You don't see Christians doing that.

Chritianity is like having American citizenship. Unless you renounce it, it can't be taken away from you. 86% of Americans respond to the question, "what religion are you" not neccessarily because they are practicing Christians, but many are because they don't care and are Christian by default. Serial Killers also profess to be Christian.

It's interesting to me that 86% of the country reports itself as Christian. I don't think 86% of the country goes to church, which leads me to wonder if they really believe what they claim to believe.

I think what people should be worried about are your ignorant generalizations. Not only is the real statistic 79% for "Christians," what the real issue is whether or not the relationship with God that people profess affects their lives. :/

And yet look at America's long list of ongoing accomplishments, all under this "delusion" of religion lol

And look at the "non-religious" countries, all considered backwards by today's standards.

I guess this is one of those things that make you go "hmmm"

all those who believe in a supernatural invisible friend are not stupid or delusional, they are simply indoctrinated which is a fancy word for brainwashed. its not your fault. you were taken as a baby and made to believe in fairy tales like santa claus, the easter bunny, the tooth fairy, and god...if you want to 'de-program' yourself all you have to do is begin to question your 'faith'. as soon as you do, you will break the spell and be free...good luck!...
