No the only thing you can safely take is paracetamol.

Cold medicines have aspirin in and this thins blood, which is not good for your baby.

I hope you feel better soon.

Double check with your dr first, but my dr told me that Tylenol and Sudafed were ok while pregnant, not sure about Dayquil. Check the label though- you should not be taking anything with aspirin in it for sure, use acetophinomen instead. And of course take any meds sparingly and only as directed by your dr while pregnant

You can take plain sudafed and plain tylenol (no extra strength, night time, cold & cought, etc.). Beyond that, check with your doc or pharmacist before taking either prescriptions or over the counter meds.

I got a cold when I was 2 months pregnant. It was sooooo bad. But, my doctor wouldn't let me take anything.

He said I couldn't take any medicines until I was 3 months pregnant.

And, then, to call him when I needed an ok for them.

You should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS consult your OB/GYN before taking anything when you're pregnant. Even if you already know the answer, your OB/GYN will be able to tell you what the latest answer is based on the latest information in the journals.
