Soon after Mendel's experiments with beans and peas; a number of pseudo scientists under took similar experiments.

One was a cross between honey bee and bumble bee
in this the bees stung each other to death and that was the end of it !

The second one was an attempt to cross house fly with a fruit fly.
This was fairly successful ; but the progeny could not decide as to which food is to be preferred dung or banana.
The result was starvation and death of that progeny.

The third was an attempt to cross a bumble bee with a tarantula spider .

The result was a giant Beeder fly that has taken away the scientist and since there has been no trace of him.

On learning this the governments of the world countries have unanimously banned such weired experiments.

The biology of this would be interesting. A "spibea"? A "beeder"?

Would the honey be in silk sacs instead of honeycombs?
Would you have an eight legged bee?
A spider with a stinger?
A bee that spins webs to catch the pollen to collect it?
A spider with wings and pollen sacs on his eight legs?
A spider that made wax egg sacs for its eggs?
A bee that spun a honeycomb?
A spider that would spin wax webs?
Silk sacs for the bee larva?
Spiders that spin honey flavored cotton candy?

Wow, could be a lot of diversity there.

put them in the same place (kinda necessary for sexual relations) and one of them is gunna die real quick. this would be mainly due to the fact that they're both capable of injecting poisons!

you were well right to describe this as a stupid question!

also, never forget this important fact "there are no stupid questions, there are only stupid people"....

hehe...not a put-down of you personally - your question's additional information reminded me of it. I think Zaphod Beeblebrox from Hitchhiker's Guide was responsible....

What would probably happen is probably, when you do what you said to do, maybe it becomes half a bee and half a spider. "I don't really know, just my imagination."
