No, it doesn't. However, you should treat it. Canesten vaginal pessaries are effective, and so are nystatin pessaries.

That is a good question. The actual presence of candida albicans in your vagina is not going to stop you ovulating, nor is it going to stop your partner ejaculating, and if you did conceive it would not make you miscarry.
However, a vaginal yeast infection could cause problems in other ways. Some women are more fertile than others, and a large part of this difference in fertility is to do with the mucous that exists in a healthy woman's vagina and cervix.
If you can get a copy of the book the Billings Method, it goes into this research on fertility more in depth than I will here, but in summary, there is a period of time in a woman's cycle that she produces a special mucous that AIDS the sperm. It nourishes it and in a sense carries it to the egg. This mucous is around at the time of ovulation. You can recognise it because it is stringy in texture, as opposed to other mucous that we may secrete. Some women have long periods when this mucous is present (ie a few days) other women have shorter periods, it can be as short as a few hours. So the best time to make love if trying to fall pregnant is when this mucous is present.
The problem with a yeast infection is that it could dilute or interfere with this mucous, which will make the sperm's job that much harder. Particularly if you only make a small amount of the mucous.
The other reason you might notice a correlation between candida infections and infertility is if the candida and the infertility are caused by an underlying problem.
For example, you might have been on the pill for years (which increases your chances of getting yeast infections) and you might have come off the pill and are hoping to fall pregnant. It can take some women's bodies a few months to readjust and become fertile again after being on the pill.
The other way a candida infection could influence infertility is if you are referring to a "systemic" candida infection. It is often described by natural practitioners as being a cause of many general malaise, including infertility. It's veracity is disputed in the medical world, but it has general value in that proponents of the theory encourage people to avoid processed foods, particularly sugars, as part of the cure to systemic candida. Avoiding processed foods and sugars would be beneficial to most of us!
So in summary having a vaginal yeast infection could interfere with your ability to fall pregnant by making it hard for the sperm to reach the egg.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aOer9
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Several recent studies show that before you consult an infertility doctor to help you become pregnant, you should be given antibiotics to treat a possible hidden infection. Many other studies show that the most common cause of infertility is a uterine infection. Of women being evaluated for infertility, 40 percent are infected with chlamydia, mycoplasma or ureaplasma, as are 36 percent of those with a previous history of uterine infection and 50 percent of those with tubal blockage. More than 60 percent had evidence of a past infection.
The more partners you have, the more likely you are to be infected, although you can be infected by one contact. An infection can prevent pregnancy by blocking the uterine tubes. It can damage sperm, so they can't swim toward the egg, and it can cause miscarriage, premature birth or low birth weight. Infected people may have burning on urination, discomfort when the bladder is full or an urgency to void. Women may have only spotting between periods. Or there may be no symptoms at all.
Infection with chlamydia is the most common cause of blocked Fallopian tubes that cause infertility. First, chlamydia paralyzes the cilia so the egg can't reach the uterus, then it blocks the tubes so that nothing can pass into the uterus.
Men and women can be infected with mycoplasma or ureaplasma, even though all available tests can't find them and they may have no symptoms. Before infertile couples spend between $10,000 and $150,000 for infertility evaluations and treatments, they should ask their gynecologist to treat them with newer erythomycins, Zithromax (250 mg once a day for 8 days) or Biaxin (500 mg BID for 10 days), for chlamydia and mycoplasma infections.
EVALUATION OF INFERTILITY: Blood tests: Female: FSH (menopause), TSH (thyroid disease), Prolactin (brain tumor), Progesterone (7 days after expected ovulation, around 21 days after start of menstruation), HSG (to check if uterine tubes are open). If masculinization: testosterone, DHEAS, 17-oh progesterone, sonogram of ovaries. Male: semen analysis.

Making dietary changes is your first line of defense in treating hypothyroidism. Learn here https://tr.im/tqSqG
Many people with hypothyroidism experience crippling fatigue and brain fog, which prompts reaching for non-nutritional forms of energy like sugar and caffeine. I’ve dubbed these rascals the terrible twosome, as they can burn out your thyroid (and destabilize blood sugar).
1. Just say no to the dietary bungee cord. Greatly reduce or eliminate caffeine and sugar, including refined carbohydrates like flour, which the body treats like sugar. Make grain-based carbohydrates lesser of a focus, eating non-starchy vegetables to your heart’s content.
2. Up the protein. Protein transports thyroid hormone to all your tissues and enjoying it at each meal can help normalize thyroid function. Proteins include nuts and nut butters; quinoa; hormone- and antibiotic-free animal products (organic, grass-fed meats, eggs, and sustainably-farmed fish); and legumes.

Don't think so, but why don't you go on a candida cleanse and get rid of it before you even try getting pregnant? It's truly amazing how great you feel afterwards.
