Is it a literal star?
Can a star fit on earth?
Can one stamp them out like embers?

Daniel 8:10
And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

Revelation 6:13
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Revelation 12:4
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

For Daniel 8:10 These are symbols used in the Old Testament for angels, kings and leaders, or the people of God at large. Here it is fulfilled in Antiochus Epiphanes and his attacks against rulers and God's people in general.

For Rev. 6:13 The terms stars of heaven (Genesis 12:3, 15:5) and the hosts of the Lord (Exodus 12:41) are used of God's people in general.
It is best to regard these pictures as real, but poetic. John isn’t using technically precise scientific language, but he simply describes what he saw.

For Rev. 12:4 Many believe this describes one-third of the angelic host in league with Satan (his angels of Revelation 12:9). This army of angelic beings in league with Satan makes up the world of demonic spirits.
A possible reference to war in heaven which takes place in the middle of the Tribulation and which results in fallen angels being cast from heaven to earth.

No, no,and no. But the people who wrote the bible had no idea of what a star was. They thought of heaven as a sort of bowl that fitted over the earth to keep the water that was on the other side from falling on us. They thought rain happened when God sent Angels to open windows in heaven and let some of the water above heaven down.
They also had a hard time deciding if the world was square with Corners at the cardinal points or round like a Pizza.
You must not expect people from thousands of years ago to have your world view.
To them the stars, the Sun and the Moon were lights stuck to the underside of Heaven. Put there by the literal hand of God to serve people as clocks and navigation tools while sailing or caravan driving. If you tried to tell them how big the sun really is, or how far away it is, they would have tried pointing the Sun out to you so that you could see it's size for yourself.
If you did not understand that and persisted in believing it was bigger than the whole earth they would have concluded that you had been out in the Sun to long with no water.

People should accept the bible for what it is and quit trying to rewrite it to fit modern science.

Well remember both Daniel and Revelations were visions of greater things to come.
In those times a comet falling from the sky could be preceived as a star. Its' bright and firey and with not much lightening in those days it could be very bright and people could see it fall to the ground and if they were close enough it would shake the earth near them..
They say when the world ends the moon and sun will not give light and the stars will fall from the Heavens.

You missed this one.

Re 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

The context of 6:12-17 is the rapture of the church, which precedes the beginning of the wrath of God.

This refers to a class of angels.

I would love to cover it all here but it is impossible. This is about a four hour message covering all the passages that have to be brought together to make it clear. I have actually given this message in one evening, but it is better spread over several messages.

These stars are demons - former angels in the heavenly realm. Read Revelation 12:9 to get further information.

The Bible, for the most part, does not consist of literal passages. People who take it as such are a big part of what's wrong with the modern world.
